When the anniversary PV looks better than even the actual anime opening. For real though, all of these pics brings so much memories and they arranged so perfectly with such a beautiful effect and awesome music playing on. This is an amazing work right here.
I cannot claim to be as good as most veterans who have started this game since launch. I only began this game when Northern Overture was going on and at that time the word atrocious does not even begin to describe how little I understand how this game works. Though I barely started much of the main game I went straight to my first EX story not knowing it has its' own branch of difficulty and I was basically fighting Sirens early game. Though I beat Northern Overture I did not get the last three cutscenes which I would get if I played the last stage three more times which I didn't know at the time. My struggles continued in Solomon Ranger rerun as I had an awful time beating Ryuujou on my first SP story. It was only at Microlayer Medley where I by then already had two properly established fleets with a balanced set up where I beat it proper and I started improving. Eventually my two main fleets have gotten strong enough to get as high as D2 in Crimson Echoes to now with the recent rerun of Iris of Light and Dark where I have beaten my very first D3 stage of an EX campaign. It was also during that event where I achieved my first level 120 ship and that ended up being Saratoga. During that event I started creating a new fleet set up with Illustrious and Unicorn sortieing together and it was also there I learned the abilities of Battlecruisers are dependent on the position they are placed until their abilities are leveled up to max perhaps. This pretty much sums up my journey through Azur Lane up till now, defined through all the EX and SP stages I have played not counting the ones in the Archives. With my Saratoga at level MAX, I begin getting another batch of ships to level 100 and onwards. All in preparation for the upcoming new event, Skybound. Though despite all these events, I am still in chapter 8 on the main story haha. But what I hope for more than anything, is a rerun of Northern Overture. Going back to the first EX campaign I ever did, but now stronger than ever and ready to finish what I have left off. But of course I am hurting to get more Ironblood ships as well as I am very lacking on those. If I know Yostar, the previous EX and SP stages WILL get a rerun especially for those who never got to experience them or if lucky, they are added to Archives.
@Magnus Rage That's why I am currently working on getting Maryland to level 100 and raising Hood's and Enterprise's abilities to Max. While doing that I am getting Illustrious up those levels ASAP. If I can utilize the Big Sevens to their fullest ability. I can counter the bullet hells that is EX stages with my own rain of death.
@Magnus Rage I utilize the Big Sevens with their spread shot ability and about that backline thing yeah I learned that the hard way. I had to switch my flagship to Saratoga in order to deal with that. It was D3 of Iris of Light and Dark when fighting Jean Bart. Also I am no where near being able to achieve Retrofit with Warspite and I already know first hand in Exercise how powerful she can be. I don't have the sword and she is no where near level 100.
@Magnus Rage They are classified as E.X. maps if anything. But pretty much I am playing the ones in the archives nonstop to level up my ships while attempting to get to D3 of those to farm for SRs.
