Everyone complaining about the ads on jerseys in Europe. They don’t get the crowds and big money TV deals like the NHL does. Nor do they have the backing of natural gas companies and the Russian mob the way the KHL does
Thank you mate, I'm a fan of the Nottingham Panthers in the EIHL and we can only dream of the money in the NHL/KHL.
And some of these clips seem to take place in the UK, where hockey definitely needs all the help it can get to compete with cricket, football, etc.

4:15 I had the same situation happen to me that Fretter had but in my case when I tried to remove my stick the kid flopped and the ref thought I slashed him while he was down so I get a game misconduct for nothing. It was funny that everyone in the crowd and on our bench saw it but the ref did not believe a single person.

The hit at 6:48 was not really that dirty. The call on the ice,5+GM interference, was incorrect. After the game the experts on swedish television said that 2 minutes for interference would have been the right call. Fortunately Frölunda killed the major penalty and won 1-0. There was no suspension.
I was gonna say, it’s not like he threw an elbow or even really aggressively played it, more looked like the guy that got hit wasn’t paying attention and the guy that did the hitting was assuming he’d stop and was playing the puck

@@Jens95 I dont remember that game but it was during 2nd game of finnal series of Czech extraliga 2015/2016 and based what comentators said it wasnt clean game. But thise was only time in that game when player got more than 2 mins.
I remember when Zack Kassian got suspended to doing something similar, but not quite, to a Tampa Bay player not that long ago.

It’s a rule in the NHL at least that the third man in is also out of the game so you don’t have a 2v1 and one player getting pummeled from two sides. It’s just a bad idea to go in third, nobody is expecting someone to jump them from behind in the middle of a fight

The EIHL is a bum league and it’s sad. The fans are so passionate, some hidden gem players. With the resources they have and what they produce is outstanding but the league is a mess due to the fuxkin awful officiating. I remember when I’d attend Edinburgh and Belfast games when I lived there . An experience like no other but the refs literally just wing every game and it’s embarrassing. It’s like they’re constantly in panic mode and just guess if something is a penalty. Real shame and they need to fix that

This needs to be said more often about NHL officials, but big network announcers never do. In so many Jens95 videos about misconducts, crosschecks and other violent moments in games, you can trace it back to a ref being blind, and the players retaliating.
So it’s the Refs fault that these players assault each other...
The guy you are praising didn’t say a single word about the blindside hit by a player coming straight off the bench, and you want his “unbiased” opinion to be the one you are seen supporting?
The escalation is clearly the refs' fault. He calls the penalty, none of this happens. The rest of your comment has nothing to do with mine. I didn't say anything about unbiased, and the broadcaster not mentioning every single thing that happens has nothing to do with the validity of the statement that I'm referring to, especially since the subsequent hit is the consequence of the ref fucking up.
What's more, the players are getting consequences for what they're doing, which is the second part of the statement, refs are completely unaccountable for their fuckups. They'll just eject everyone who hurts their feelings by pointing out that they shat the bed.

What a terrible argument. That they sometimes do their job and it doesn't end well really isn't an argument against the fact that refs do fuck up and it does lead to escalation. I'm having a hard time seeing how most of these European leagues call misconducts. Most of these are a 2 in the North American leagues. Are they a lot more severe in their penalties?

According to the swedish disciplinary comitte it was not a very dirty hit and there was no suspension. This is not checking to the head as the intial contact was to the shoulder. It is charging as he left his feet but not dirty enough for a suspension. Another thing to note ,that is not that relevant in this case but i think very few people outside Sweden know this, is that the SHL does not use the international "There is no such thing as a clean hit to the head" rule. There is an "allowable head contact" section in the checking to the head rule. The wording is similar to the NHL-rule but the interpretation is stricter and the suspensions are way harsher. The availible penalties are the same as in the IIHF rules.

What I hate more than anything about these foreign American leagues is the fact that they are literally filled with ads on every part of the uniform. Like a walking bill board.
