Hi Mark looks like a handy tool, but I've always used a multi meter to test for charging, cranking voltage and battery voltage to check if a cell has gone in the battery.

Can you use this tester to test mobility scooter batteries, and if yes what would the settings be on the tester

i would say so. you would just have to check on top of the battery for type, you should be able to check battery health etc.

The battery in that ka turned the engine over no problem , i think it has plenty of life left in it yet despite what the battery tester was showing.
