In this video I review the 2024 LEGO City Construction Excavator, set 60420. This is a must have for the LEGO City collection. Glad LEGO has thrown in a serious effort to release some classic construction/city equipment. Please enjoy!

Problem with this is no retailer in the states seems to have this set
I had a feeling they would sell out quick
Here we are almost to august and this set still is bot available in reguakr retail.@@OFFICERBRICK
Personally I think the articulation of the hydraulics for the Boom connected to the Stick Arm and Bucket, which are limited to extend could have been better designed. Once I purchase this, I intend to modify those areas with extra pieces to allow the excavator to extend more like a real excavator does.
All in all it's not bad, it doesn't have the same range of motion as a real excavator. But of course it can certainly be modified for greater reach. Enjoy the build!
@@OFFICERBRICK Waiting to see if Target gets it, as I get better discount with them than LEGO's store. LEGO website has it on Backorder till June 23rd. It's funny how this set sold out online and in-store over so many other June 1st releases. Either LEGO had less initial stock on release day because they underestimated the demand or there was plenty of stock but ppl just overwhelmingly wanted this excavator. I'm in between as to why, as construction sets have been on the weak side for years. Less Police/Police Chase/Fire Department/ sets and more construction sets! The Excavator was a surprise initial sellout and I expect the Mobile Crane to do just as well.
@@dmonsefIt was definitely one of the most anticipated city sets for this summer. It’s good, LEGO needs to see for themselves that these sets are still very much relevant
