As well agree what your lives will look like together as far as work, family, etc. This coming from a mom of three now young adults, who told them the same thing. Also in some cases Prenups are a good idea, especially when it comes to who will pay off any existing debt incurred before marriage. My middle one is getting married next weekend, and you bet they fine combed EVERYTHING before deciding to get married, even though they have been together almost seven years already.

The student loans were made out by the wife prior to the time of her marriage therefore it’s her responsibility to pay the expenses!! It’s one thing if she had managed to pay part of it and the husband voluntarily offered to pay the difference, but trying to make him pay for all of it while taking out additional loans under his name!! She should consider herself lucky he didn’t take her to court on the grounds of fraud, extortion and identity theft
