In the example you gave I wouldn't consider snitching as your 'friend' did you dirty and they aren't your friend because they did you dirty by getting you involved. With that said the best course of action to any interrogation is to clam up and lawyer up.

You shouldn't have put me in that situation. If we've committed similar crimes in the past together and shit happens in the store and they end up robbing it and come out you can't snitch. If at anytime we are doing a crime together and get caught you can't snitch. If someone robs someone at gunpoint on the street any innocent bystander is not a snitch for giving a description.... in my book.

I deal with the crime that I did the part I did it I would go to jail or prison wherever they put me at but the thing is with me one thing my father used to tell me if you don't want to do the time don't do the crime he said like you tell me man up I learned that when I was in fifth grade I learned at an early age every time I've been to jail I've never called my family or nothing I just basically deal with it they had to call for if they want to know where I was at
If i've done something that would cause me to go to jail and i get caught thats on me i made a choice and have to deal with the consequences "you are free to to make whatever choices you want to make but you are not free from the consequences of those choices" and if im with my friends and they go do some or is about to do some that i didnt know they we're gone do and afterwards they try to tell me about it im gone stop them and ask them have they did some they shouldn't have and if they say yea im gone ask are they straight if they are thats all i need to know and if we end up getting stopped by the police or whatever and i didnt know about what they did and didn't have nun to do with it and the police ask me about it hey i didnt know anything and they cant say im lying i didnt not cause i couldn't have known i just didnt want to know

What about if you’re not involved at all, but you have info about the crime, say a shooting. You’re not throwing anyone under the bus to get leniency for your own involvement, but giving any info is a dangerous thing to do. You put a target on your back, no?
