I've personally yet to have a problem with my Baja. Even if I drive it on the beach there's never any sand in the chassis once i'm done, as you say, the vast majority is sent out the back. The lack of vicious tread on the standard front tyres avoids a great deal from being kicked up.

yea, if you didnt fit the windows in the first place, you wouldn't need the duct right ?

bit gimmicky i reckon, unless your driving in a dust storm how can dust pass the front of the car to the rear ? have a look at any baja vid and watch where the dust goes, generally wheelspinning out of the back, id like to see a total smoke test done over the whole car in decent wind (not a few mph) and see the effects of the shield in question, just looks like an afterthought to cash in a bit on the baja's decent name.

But the windows fend off all the crap from hitting the air filter - so I suppose the ducts are a reasonable compromise.

As for cashing in though, HPI do a reasonable job on that themselves mind. LED lights are available for no good purpose I can see. You certainly couldn't use them to light your way while you blast by 150 feet away.

I'm sure you don't need NACA ducts for a slow speed RC buggy, air scoops will suffice. But who cares, NACA ducts look more professional.
