The same as if every episode everyone split it would become dull as well. Some people are too nice and trusting for their own good. Personally I would chose steal and if the other chose split I would like to think I would split it. Hopefully the devil inside wouldn't take over and make me change my mind. It would be a shame if you both chose steal for £40,000 for example and neither got any of it when if you both split you could have had £20,000 each. Half of something is better than all of nothing. Risky whatever you decide to chose. As I said it's a very clever game.
Forget the chit chat beforehand. They'd say anything.. Do the maths, if you pick steal you win either jackpot or nothing, so on average you win half the jackpot. If you choose split you win either half the jackpot or nothing, so on average a quarter of the jackpot. Forget split.
