1967 Austin Mini Moke Electric Car Conversion by EV West

Here's a quick introduction to a 1967 Austin Mini Moke that was recently converted to electric drive. The original transmission was cast into the block of the 800cc motor, so this required a new direct drive system to be installed using a Graziano differential and reduction gear system connected through a set of custom front axles. Michael Bream gives a quick tour of the vehicle, and takes it for a drive around the neighborhood, showing how much fun instant torque can be.

Hi guys, congratulations on a great build. It would be very helpful to your viewers if you maybe included a 'build sheet' at the end of the videos, showing a list of components used as well as some numbers. I know that the host said them, but still, would be good to have a build sheet to refer to. Again, great job you guys. I am a 'car guy' through and through.. racer and rodder.... I'm very interested in building my first. I'm hoping that the cost of the lithium batteries will come down a lot in the very near future, tho.

Now, that's utterly impressive. 7:08, if somebody asks for a drag race, they'd say an EV Moke would be a joke, but floor it like that would be on the borderline of mean.
Now if only put that motor (or one that would deliver similar performance) on an i-MiEV.

It 'Fantastic, this Austin! Very nice sound of the horn! Only a council this car probably does not reach high speeds (I assume), and you're driving in flip flops, which is fine, but on a normal car, I would drive better barefoot.
