Your land is amazing. No wonder your creativity is inspired by it. I appreciate it when you show us around. It is peaceful, and we could use more of that.
I absolutely love your place. It looks so cozy.
Hannah 🤭For a 1M subscriber giveaway, I thought maybe you’d do a house giveaway 🥰 or a 🐭…
😂
Thank you Hannah for keeping the clip with you talking about incomplete projects and it being okey! You have no idea how much that meant, as a 30 y/o woman who wants to be you when I grow up and very much has many incomplete tasks, it meant a lot coming from you. The QUEEN of starting/finishing big ass projects that turn out amazing 💕
I have a couple of ideas about the wall shelf. 1. I would have started the shelf to align with the left side of the window and extended it all the way to the right edge of the door frame. 2. The thickness of the side walls are very thin compared to the thickness of the horizontal shelf. I think you could do away with the side walls and just have some nice floating shelves. Or try to go back and match the thickness for both. Your dining room shelf cabinet is a great reference! 😊 Good luck!
I agree that the side walls are too thin and it would look better without them. I also agree that having the length go from the left edge of the window to the right edge of the door would balance it nicely. The shelves look great and does seem cozier with the added. The ladder so a wonderful touch.
I agree as well about the side pieces. It boxes in the windows on top and closes off the light into the room.
Same! If the walls where thicker it would also match the window and door on each side to balance it out. I am for matching the tickness all the way x either way gonna look great. Also would have painted the ceiling or walls white lol but every Carpenter is gonna hate on that. I just dont like too much wood.
Beautiful job honey!!!!! I’m a 62 year old grandma and I’m just so proud of you!! I look forward to your videos🥰wish I would have done so many of the things you have done❤️❤️❤️
I'm a 66-year-old grandma and I think Hannah is amazing too! I have always done many things for myself but she goes far above my level. I wanna be a Hannah if I'm reincarnated someday. :)
Hey Hannah, beautiful idea!! Just a FYI: If you run the panels the other way it will be easier to cover the center of the ceiling. Another fun way to break up all the same wood is to make thicker window & door trim...add shape and color if so desired...plant shelves built into the wide trim around windows will also help house your plant collection!
💕 😘 💕
Love it... Excellent vibes. 🌿
I'd leave the ladder 🪜 unstained to break up the color of the other stained wood, plus it kinda matches your mice house. 🐁
congrats on a million subscribers!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼love all your projects hannah. respect your independence get it done attitude too. continued travel mercies and blessings.🕊
I'm always so impressed by how you jump into different things without being afraid of failure - you inspire me with my own projects and general approach to life so thank you!
Congratulations on 1 MILLION subscribers!!!!!
Omg the perfect incentive to go clean and renovate my room
I can’t tell you how much I needed this video. I make TH-cam videos in a similar spirit as you and after a year of traveling full time on the road I just bought the cutest vintage camper that I’m going to renovate… and I have no idea what I’m doing and have been so overwhelmed. But watching you and this video reminded me - we figure it out as we go. Really needed that. Thank you for sharing your journey with us (and including all sides of it). Sending love from my corner of the world to yours ❤
Loving that plant shelf. It really did cozy the room up
Love hanging out with you every week Hannah! Watching this while I'm sipping on my evening cup of tea, so so relaxing. And you saying that shelf was probably the worst build you did, that would have been my best one! Lol. I think it turned out so great!
Your home is going to be so cozy and unique; I just love it all!
I absolutely love the wall with the shelves! Beautiful job!
I think you should stain the ladder and add wheels on the bottom so you can roll it across! But it looks beautiful to me!! Even when you said it was the worst thing you built I loved it!
The dress at the end and the hair tie! So put together. ❤ I know you said you don’t like it so much but it is a lovely addition to a space you couldn’t do much with previously
You have the talent to become a musical actress...seriously! Your singing voice sounds very beautiful and clear!!!
I've seen Painters Tarp used for all kinds of decorative stuff!
Am I seeing a lupin lane laptop protector?!🤫 So exciting!! I remember watching an old video wher you said that you can no longer find the link to your old book computer cover.
Also, I think that the shelf should go all the way across. Than, the ladder could park on the right without blocking the plant and be used to hang things when not serving its original purpose.
Love❤
📍When I lived in CO I learned to sew window treatments. I followed patterns and made the most glorious ones you’ve ever seen (as first timer)! In one room I had navy blue, velvet- floor to ceiling treatments. I kept my family warm. Heating costs were low. And every room looked fabulous. You do such a beautiful job with decor. Just remember… Winter is Coming! 💐
Painter’s cloth makes great drapes.
Just love it.!!! That handmade ladder is the icing on the cake! Congratulations on 1M.
Be gentle with the words you use when ‘talking to yourself’ 😊 you are NOT stupid, you are trying, learning, and succeeding in so many ways. The way we speak to ourselves can negatively or positively influence our mental well being. Be proud of your accomplishments and delicate during your struggles. ❤
Those apples look like either golden delicious or honey gold.
If you prune the tree so they can get more sun, theyll get more color. Also the ones up top are the best ones.
Me in the comments curious about the type of apple 🍏 😂.
Hannah thank you you’re such a beautiful soul. This has been my favorite Sunday morning event now for years when I see you’ve posted I just get to chill watch your vid have my coffee or energy, it’s currently a beautiful freaking breezy day in SE FL < a very rare event one must enjoy 😆) and I just feel so peaceful and relaxed and you are just a beautiful addition to that. Thanks girly 🫶🏼.
I think they’re called Transparent iirc.
The ceiling might look nice with just the darker colored boards up for the contrast, without the painters cloth, or bamboo. Simple and complimentary to the other wood in the room.
Painters tarp...makes good curtains and you can paint them. Add stripes, or stencil Mandela's, flowers whatever. And hang nice.
I could see you learning to make your own wines and meads.. fun hobby.. I definitely enjoy it.. great to use your trees to make wines.. :)
I love the final look! I think you should paint the ladder either the color of the sofa and or a bright turquoise. I think it would break up all the wood colors.
I just love your channel and being so creative and hard working. Keep up all the beautiful work you are doing. Love it, Donna
Thank you for including the unfinished project! It is so important to see an d acknowledge that not everything we do can or should turn out perfectly every time. It's great that these little mistakes aren't stopping you from keeping on with your other projects. Some unsuccessful projects, or even many unsuccessful projects, are a part of creativity.
Also please don't fall off the ladder, sometimes it's genuinely worrying to see you balance on it! 😅
My wife and I watch you every week. We love your homesteading! You have some of the most positive and inspiring content on TH-cam. And no episode seems complete without Molly.
i am so jealous of your apple tree. i love golden delious apples
You did alot of jobs today Hannah, plumbing and the carpentry. The design and finish for your living room is really lovely. x
From inspiration, manifestation, creation, implementation, and completion this episode has put me into a creative headspace. The finished product looks great, thanks for attempting projects and following through, even if restarts are necessary. I really enjoy your channel and all the adventures. Thanks again for putting out authentic content, Hannah! 🌱🙏
Congratulations on surpassing 1 million subscribers! Thank you for documenting your incredible journey & projects. I can always count on you for motivational, badass goddess-ness. Wishing you continued success & happiness! Cheers
I love the shelves for the plants and some books, you never disappoint anything you have the courage to do. I was not liking the ceiling😂😂😂. Thank you again for another great Sunday ❤
Hannah! I love the crazy random design process you use! Amazing how they always turn out to be a better success than something formally planned! Yea to seat of the pants flying!
I love the wood! Could always hang up muted colors of flowers or cut out nature vibe shapes around🦋 🍁🌸🌼🌻🍂🌺🌾the book shelf looks great!
The shelves are gorgeous !!! I love it. It was an excellent idea!!! It upgraded the room so much more !!! Keep it up Hannah !!!!
Congratulations 🍾 on one million subs 👏
The room looks so much cosier & eclectic with the shelves. I love them.
I'm waiting for you to start canning now that you are getting such great harvests from your yard. :) It's so much fun to make jams, preserves, applesauce, and just preserve your own food! I love your wood ceilings just the way they are. Your home is so warm and inviting looking. You are living a dream....it might be MY dream. hahaha
Just soak a stiffer or even paint roller with long handle in Murphy wood soap to clean it. I love the smell. It’s really good stuff. And the clothes and bamboo are dust collectors
I think the ceiling looks great the way that it is. Putting up other materials makes the room look smaller. I’m sure you have a beautiful vision and I’ll see what it looks like but I can’t envision it at the moment.
Suggestion for cleaning glass, try Norway towels.. No sprays needed, and when you air dry them any and all bacteria is released into the air. Use hot water to clean and dry with the towel that matches. Rinse , wring out and air dry. No need to wash unless really soiled. You will have the clearest windows in the neighborhood !!! PROMISE ***
The ladder is tops! I love the bright wood colour, it's a nice accent, I wouldn't stain it. The shelf is cool, although I'm not a fan of the vertical boards, they kind of box the light in from the windows. Not sure what you imagine with the bamboo but will patiently wait for the project :D A tropical vibe? All the green plants make the room a marvelous living space especially in winter.
CONGRATULATIONS on One Million Subscribers !!!
I wish there was a way to attach a pic of my cat intently watching this video on my TV right now. 😂
Thank you for showing your unfinished project Gorgeous. It humanizes you and gives me hope to do projects❤
Granny Smith apples my favorite ❤
We love you! Your creativity and motivation, and ambition is always so welcoming! Glad to see you’re trying new things. You’re an artist that’s why things don’t always turn out exactly like you thought they would. But go you! Just trying it is more than some of us would even do! I love what you did in the living room!
i just love watching you put a room together so cozy, just with this easyness :) your videos just make me so happy
Also, love the shelves. So good! Please be careful with the wall hooks on the ladder. Sometimes they use cheapy pot metal and they’ll be flaws in it that will break (if, indeed, that’s what they’re made of. I couldn’t really tell). Genius idea and love how you put em to use, just want you to be safe 🩵.
Your place is really looking amazing!
HANNAH YOU ARE 1 HELL OF A WOMAN YOU HAVE DONE SO MY YOU AMAZE ME KEEP UP THEGREAT WORK YOU ROCK
I honestly loved the simplicity of the room before feels crowded now but i love how you can build literally anything! 😊
Crowded and cluttery is actually what I’m going for in here- the rest of the house is open and airy, and I want this room to feel very cozy and warm
do the same thing with the BOTTOM of the ladder and then put on RUBBER feet.
its going to make impressions in the flooring over time if you let it the way it is.
cheers!
The shelving unit turned out awesome! Your treasures and books look beautiful on the shelves! You’re so creative. You jump in with both feet, knowing that if it doesn’t look right to you, that it can be fixed🙌🏼 Can’t wait to see the ceiling😃
Hi Hannah. Happy Sunday. I’d guess if the Apples are sweet they might be golden delicious
Hanna use a squeegee for the windows after you scrub them! Omg they come out cristal clear with NO streaks !!
The white dress you wore at the end of the video is so beautiful 😭
Absolutely LOVE how you styled the space and I'm in love with how cozy and big your couch is!!! where is the couch from?
My question exactly!
Is there anything you can’t do? Love all your ideas and good interior taste. You really make a home in every house you live in. 🤗
You should make a projector ceiling!!! Like the good ol days 🫶🏼🥰
I just want to tell you, (long time watcher!) I am so grateful that you kept the part in where you chose to scrap the project, rather than complete it. It shows us that we are really all the same, we all want to stop sometimes when it just isnt right but that seems to be frowned upon for some reason. I think its so much better to stop something that isnt right and change it out for something, that is just so much better and true to you!
Hey girl I would paint the room white and leave the ceilings bamboo or wood. Looks great so far!
I agree with other committers who didn't like the uprights on the floating shelves but I think you could fix that with some decorative carved facing trim. The biggest thing I noticed is that you stopped the double height shelves above the glass door at an awkward spot I would have taken it all the way to the end personally and I think it could be a pretty easy tweak you add the decorative trim that you're talking about getting. Otherwise a beautiful addition to the improvements you made to the house.
Hannah, you are so hard on yourself. This library look is fantastic!!!!! I enjoy watching all that you have created, the ladder, shelves, and styling are all well done!!!! I am a huge fan of your work and your channel. I look forward to your next project or adventure. Possibly making something with those delicious apples? :) KAT
Every Sunday, I finish writing, pour a glass of red, and watch your latest release. I reside up North, and your enjoyment of this wonderful place is pure joy to enjoy. 🌲
U are so creative I wish I had your energy👍🏽
Congrats on one million!!!!
I just LOVE how EVERYTHING looks together. You are such an amazing person. The person that ends up with you is a very lucky person!
I think your shelves look great!
The stove looks so much better painted black. I look forward to seeing what’s next!
I like that you left in your first attempt at the ceiling it shows the reality of decoration and how worth it can be vs when to give up 👍
Aside from your creativity and your exuberance, I think I watch to marvel at your ability to gracefully maintain balance in all manner of precarious situations. It's like you're made of helium!
It's great to see you have a go at building things but I wanted to warn you about your ladder. It is likely the weight of you or others standing on the rungs will break them as the screw in each end is under enormous strain. The screw pushing against the grain will cause an elongated fracture in the rung. Best to recess each rung end into the side rails by 1/2 - 3/4 of an inch and it will be 10 X stronger. Also, cut the bottom of the rails parallel to the floor and cover with thin rubber. Over time, the corners will wear a groove into your floorboards.
Girl you are so amazing at your carpentry skills you think it and do it wow😊 the room looks great
You continue to amaze me with everything you build. You are a young lady with such a vision. Be proud of everything you do and keep being you.
There is nothing you can't do Hannah. Your creativity astounds me.
Hi Hannah this video is very encouraging in particular because not everything works at the first try. Thank you for showing that, it makes me want to start a project myself, knowing it is a process and will eventually grow and be good in the end. Something I was thinking about is the stability of the hooks on the top of the ladder. These hooks were made to carry the weight of a coat or a handbag but not to secure a ladder with a person on it, who moves around carrying books and plants. But maybe I'm worrying to much, anyway great video and I wish you a lot of fun with future projects. 🌿🍏🍁
You're not worrying too much -- you're exactly right -- I was also thinking there's no way two coat- hooks will support the weight of a person ( even a lightweight person) plus the ladder itself!
Hello 👋 Hannah. Love 💕 your video. I love how you sing and dance to get through the day and to get the job done. Your home is so Beautiful and Cozy. Love 💕 your yard. Have A Blessed Day my New Friend. Lots of LOVE ❤️ from: San Antonio, Texas🤠👋💕
Glad to see I am not the only one who sings along to music and dance while doing things around the place. Makes me feel less alone or weird.
Could you do a run down on the power tools you use? I am going to do some DIY kitchen updates ala Hannah Lee Duggan … and will be purchasing some tools.
I would love to hear your recommendations and also what each tool is appropriate for what job would be so helpful!
Like … do you prefer a multi-use hammer drill or an impact drill for most of your jobs.
What type of brad nailer do you use? Is that powerful enough to fasten 2x4’s together… or do you use wood screws for that?
I’ve watched many tutorials on these questions but since you are my inspiration that I CAN DO IT! - I would love to hear your input!
You/your channel bring me so much comfort and peace. Also, All of your outfits are top tier!🤎🤎
STUNNING!!!! Wow you are so good on the power tools!!
Omg congratulations on 1M
I just eat up every single clip of your sweet little mice. 🥰🥰🥰
Also, the shelf really does add a lot of character to the room, and I like your idea of adding wooden embellishments (trim and appliqués?) to it to take it to the next level.
Most of all, I just love your brain and how when inspiration strikes, you find a way to get it done. The upside down coat hooks were a perfect solution for the ladder!
Just for the record, I liked the burlap look. ☺ Ooh, y'could get a pot belly stove Hannah! They are so cute. I think your decorative facing would look sweet painted olive green. This would offset the all wood look nicely 😊 I love your aesthetic.
Hi Hannah, I too had a room full of wood. First I tried hanging a lot of art on the walls,it never looked right. I ended up white washing the wood to lighten it up. Now it's much brighter.
So cute and cozy. I love how your mouses have bonded so well and enjoy each others company so much. You're simply amazing.
Golden delicious? What a gem of a property you've found!
Great job Hannah with clean the walls looks great and all the other jobs as well you trully are an amazing woman ❤❤❤
I love your living room. It looks cozier, homey, and comfortable. Great job.
Congratulations on 1 Million followers!!! I Liked the lighter color personally. Have you thought about painting it?! Does Molly still have her boat there??
It looks AMAZING! I feel like that space could use some fall vibes, fall decor please. 😂 I can’t wait to see what you do for the holidays.
Great job Hannah. ❤
Hannah first i thought it was to much but in the end it looks like it has been there since the house was built Great Job
my comfort channel! 🧡
Where did you get the dress from the final reveal?! It's incredible! The perfect swooshy dress!
I can't explain how much I wish I could be living the same life. Seeing this makes my heart happy and I think this is the goal.
