Professionally I believe Ainge played a bit for the Toronto Blue Jays before playing for the Celtics. Great reactions. Larry didn't talk trash. He talked the truth and was more than a regular assassin because a regular assassin doesn't tell their target what they are going to do to them before they do it. Larry would tell his opponents what he was going to do and then he'd go do it. He knew that it was just another form of psychological warfare and he used it to his advantage. This was significant because the game is more psychological than most people probably realize and Larry was unrivaled at getting in other players' heads and getting them out of their games. I think the most impressive thing about it is that he didn't just do it to average players, he also did it to the best players in the league, and many of them are in the Hall of Fame.
