this video makes me so emotional because when I saw him live on the pray for the wicked tour, I was standing right at the corner of the stages. I remember handing Brendon that pride flag and him walking right up to me and saying Thank you, I love you for this. That moment right then and there made me cry and Brendon saw that. I am sad that people aren't accepting of you, but remember that there are so many people who care and want to tell you it's okay. i had a green heart in the crowd when i saw them in glasgow, and i still have it now. im not out to my mum who was with me (im a lesbian) and she couldn't understand why, but seeing all the lights and brendon's flag just made me burst into tears. i felt safe and accepted, and though i knew nobody in that hall filled with people just like me, i felt more loved there than with my own family.
It's nice to know that I have people who support me even if they are not my actual family who doesn't give a shit and tells me that I am too young to make a chose of my sexuality. I am sad that people aren't accepting of you, but remember that there are so many people who care and want to tell you it's okay. Brendon is one of them, and there are many many more musical artists that also do, but even more than them, there are whole communities just waiting to support you if you need help, or even if you just need some reassurance that you're not alone and not abnormal. i had a green heart in the crowd when i saw them in glasgow, and i still have it now. im not out to my mum who was with me (im a lesbian) and she couldn't understand why, but seeing all the lights and brendon's flag just made me burst into tears. i felt safe and accepted, and though i knew nobody in that hall filled with people just like me, i felt more loved there than with my own family.
