- Ahh the 90s, a period that took a little extra time to shake off the 80s splendor paired with some extremely questionable fashion and a dynamically changing music environment. In the automotive world we had an equally diverse and odd range of vehicle offerings from under powered "American Muscle Cars" that carried over V8 offerings but were choked down from the factory, to quirky often bad tempered European cars that were beginning to overtake the US highways, to turbo charged highly engineered Japanese supercars.
If you were a red blooded American what were you to choose? Well two of your most popular options were either the later generation of Foxy Body Mustangs OR ... a 3rd Generation Chevy Camaro. While both could be ordered with good 'ole 'Merican V8 power in greater than 5.0 liters neither were what would be considered a performance rocket from the factory. However the styling, the sounds, mixed with a healthy sense of Rulebreaker... they were a popular choice across America.
This particular car is a 1992 Camero sporting the larger 350 cubic inch throttle body injected small block chevy typically reserved for the more track focused Z28. Is it the fastest thing to run around the roads blaring AC/DC? No absolutely not. Is it something that's fun quick sounds great and easily can put a fond smile on your face? I have the same car and how u said just the speed part that kinda kills it is true but after watching your video come to realize somethings better off not touched 💯🗣️
Thanks for watching, hope you enjoyed it! While we certainly support modified cars and love building them and working on them... sometimes its really nice to find a great representation of a "stock original" version

@LucoreAuto MAN I ORDERED NEW MY 92 ANIVERSREY CAMARO Z28 WITH EVERY OPTION AND I WAS ONLY 19 YEARS OLD AND I WAS HATED AND EVERYONE THOUGHT MY PARENTS BOUGHT THE CAR BUT I DID IT ALL BY MYSELF AND THE CAR WAS 22 GRAND AND THE ONLY THING I WISH I GOT WAS THE 5SPD TRANS BUT MOST PEOPLE SAY THE AUTOMATIC WAS A WAY BETTER TRANS AND I PLAN ON DOING A FULL EXHAUST BUT I AM LEAVING MY MEDIUM QUASAR METALIC BLUE ALL ORIGINAL T TOPS AND I CAN'T BELIEVE THE PRICES OF A 3RD GEN Z28 LIKE MY Z28 WITH 19 THOUSAND ORIGINAL MILES.
Hey man, Great video. I am restoring my old 91 RS. How you described the vision for this one is exactly how I feel about mine. So many want to drop in the LS' and modernize everything, and thats ok it's just not what I want.
Love these 3rd gens despite "quirks".
It's the Quirks that make cars unique and make us love our rides!

You do realize that it’s a 305 TBI engine and not a 350 right? The only RS cars that got a 350 were the police versions. It was a TPI engine.

The RS did not come with a 350, it's a 305 TBI.
More on the special circumstances of this car in a future video. But we promise that's a 350 rumbling under the hood!
Little known fact: Chevy did install the 5.7L L98 V8 engine in the early 90s Camaro RS sold to police agencies such as Michigan State Police. I'm sure it was a small number of cars.
