Vivek sir, US currency USD takes care of 4-5%(appreciation) already than in Rupees. (Atleast in past) So we will not have more or greater value.. Just another point of view

Amazing about why not gold and why not real estate. As gold increase was due to Rupees depreciation. And real estate cannot be mobilized 53:05. Try SGB and reits respectively instead
Please remember the recent protest by govt employees demanding restoration of old pension scheme with guaranteed returns all in non related equity schemes. The new scheme has investments in equity and assured returns are lower. It is difficult to easily change the mindset of people especially of the older generation
@saket- It seems that you have good knowledge and understanding of equity and finance, however, this face2face was too much generalistic. I don't know what was the objective of the video. Disappointed with the content.
The objective was very simple - to get a good understanding of the basics and understanding asset classes before you get on the journey to start investing your own money. I understand it was more towards basics and 101 on a lot of things, hopefully we will also be making an advanced version of this very soon.

Ok so there are 2 parts to this. First, a lot of times when people look at stocks, they get hell bent in valuations, multiples etc. and do not end up understanding the business or the longevity of the edge that the particular business has. Secondly, as far as Nykaa is concerned, my point was very simple - for a layman who shops on Nykaa every week will probably have a better understanding than let's say who has Tata Steel. Hope this is clear to you Maulik.
