facts.. when I did time, in the mitten, there was no race bs, my celly was a younger black man around the age of 21, all he did was draw, and do tattoo's. He was the best celly ever, even became friends after the fact on the outs. Luckily had him as a celly for the majority of my time. It makes your time in lock up so much better when you are on good terms with people you live with, and get to joke with, and just overall turn hard times into manageable times. The whole pod was practically on that tip, you'd occasionally get some young guns in there tryna start stuff, but it'd get shut down real quick. For someone who's heard horrible things about being in there, and especially being around Detroit, I was expecting the worse, but went through it with the best possible outcome.

My parents moved away from Chicago when I was very young to escape the lifestyle that comes with it. I grew up in rural Kentucky, and couldn't be more grateful. So many of my family members have been k!lled.

I was impressed with this man's mind set.. never been locked up, but dude sounds like he did his time the right way, and found something out about himself. Sometimes in life, you have to go through something to understand something else. Compassion, calmness, a new skill, patience etc.. Even if you do "bad things" it's not good nor bad It just is.... And that is, is an experience..

There seems to be many Fantastic Artists that are in Prison...Just amazing really seems to be a much higher percentage of inmates are creating than outside being free....Theres something in that im sure
County jail is worse. You have no access to the yard u can't workout. You can't do pushup or they will yell at you. Time is so slow in county. I basically slept 12 hours a day 5am ate breakfast went back to sleep until 11. Ate lunch and then played cards until dinner then bout 5pm eat dinner then play cards until 11pm. Then do it all over again.
Sounds like Dallas County in Tx. Except we can work out depending on who's working or if you're in a certain pod some pods are all one gang like all blood or all crip and then some guards live in their area so they all know each other
You learn to grow up quick in these environments, legitimately survival of the fittest. Its actually quite sad, since childhood and teenage years are meant to be some of the best years of your life, but they rarely get to experience that. Like being 14 or even younger and having to carry a gun to protect yourself is crazy!

That's a good idea actually finally from the prison system. Let the inmates a few months before getting released, go out into society to do some job interviews n a few weeks before start lookin for a place.
Y'all talkin bout stealing, my fiance passed away 7 weeks ago in USP Canaan and when his belongings got sent home his tablet, clothing, books, and his shoes were all missing! So sad. I'm sure it was his car too cause he didn't have a cellie!

When I was in county in NYS a lot of dudes said they'd rather be upstate in prison than where we were. There's more freedom less cameras.
