This doesnt have anything to do with nationality. Ali jr didnt have the will to kill,nor the "real world" experience that baki has. Baki has been close to death many times. But Ali jr was focused on MMA not underground fighting. Ali jr. Is strong as hell, and I believe that if he hit baki 2-3 times he would be knocked out. But he didn't have the desire to kill, which is the reason he lost.

ali jr just was missing that true fighter spirit. he was willing to fight and maybe even kill his opponet but he wasnt willing to die in the fight and thats really what seperated him and the rest of the cast. doppo even bet that he would realize that in bakis fight and win the fight because of it but baki put that to rest real quick

The difference between Ali and everyone else is that he’s more of a showman than a fighter, so he lacks that murderous intent everyone else has in Baki.
Him vs speck is an easy grave for Ali.
Even his dad is more of a threat, because while his dad might not want to kill you he isn't going to joke around about making your head hit concrete.

He’s causing the brain to shake hence is fast speed and the fact he pulls it off every time is impressive, I believe the author was going to use him as the second to last obstacle for baki but ditched him last minute

Folks think ali is weak, he knocked down jack, defeated goki and dopo (regardless of real fight or not), beat 2 great fighters in the Ri Tai tournament, reacted to a fast kick from YUJIRO and went up against Baki. The fact that he did those, regardless of the fights being serious or not, is an achievement.

Didn’t Baki say if he got hit once it would be over for Baki? He’s not weak or too confident he just doesn’t put his life on the line for fights he’s not ready for that type of fight he may have the skills but not the Mentality
His character got an extreme nerf after Jack because of the absence of confidence. He couldnt concentrate and was feeling scared of Baki. Even when fighting Baki he was not concentrating and literally spend most of his time lying on the ground
They really needed to develop Ali Jr with a true redemption arc where he comes back as a truly great ally to Baki. He seriously went out like a sucker.
I know that was a pure writing decision.

I disagree. It showcased exactly how much heart and effort ali was willing to put into himself and how talented he was to begin with. What you're arguing against is exactly what makes the series great, nuance. As silly or outlandish as baki can get there's an underlying thread of reality in all of it too, the baki vs ali fight was essentially just 2 people at the height of their game and baki happened to get the opening first and take it.
Baki himself even says as much to his girlfriend after the fight.
Plot armor would have been the opposite happening.
I mean, or its exactly showing how greatly Baki is written, someone with half assed mindset can never beat Baki, simple as that, also even if that wasnt the case i think if 100 fights between two of them happened, baki wins every single one
