Brazilian here. Just one little correction, empanada isn't a brazilian food, it's from Spain. Actually, the arabs bring it to Spain during the colonization of the Iberian Peninsule, but our argentinian hermanos are the ones who made it popular around here. Congrats for your great work!

You had me at corn cobs on the beach! Excellent editing! I also loved the drone shots, thanks for showing us an aerial of a spectacularly beautiful beach front.
We don't have empanadas, but we have EMPADAS! 🥧 Is another popular beach brazilian food that you have to know. The names are similar and many people arrive in Brazil looking for empanadas instead of empadas, but they are very different foods. Empada is a baked snack, made with a dry dough made from wheat flour, butter and salt, which melts in your mouth when you eat it. It can have different fillings, such as chicken, meat, cheese, shrimp, etc.
You two are super friendly and even seem like Cariocas. Rio de Janeiro is the most beautiful city in Brazil and one of the most beautiful cities in the world. I'm glad you're having fun here. I live in the State of Rio de Janeiro. You are always very welcome.

Also there’s no cheese in the dough, only in the filling ❤ It’s a Brazilian must have and I love it that you love them so much! 😍❤️🥰
😂The only thing we have ate to compare it to is a "la bomba" which in Spain is a deep fried mashed potato ball with meat on the inside so we thought it was going to be something similar, haha! Coxhinas are SOOO good though, I could eat them all day, everyday!

Do you like bars? Come to Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, the capital of bars that serve delicious food. The best food in Brazil comes from the State of Minas Gerais, including the best Pão de Queijo. Big ups to you!!! 😊
Thank you, Brasil has it's problems, country is free and democacry is only 30 years old, not a paradise but we're getting there one day. We love who shows respect and curiosity about our culture, friendship is the core of our brazilian way ♥ Queijo Coalho to me is the beeeesssst beach snack by far, but i love those all as well hehehe
In Rio there are several good places to eat, but you need to know them. For example Batata de Marechal, Hot dogs with a lot of stuff inside and they become gigantic and much more. In São Paulo there are a lot of street things like in Rio, in the northeast like in all of Brazil.
We looked for the pastel but couldn't find them anywhere and the one place that sold them that we found, was sold out! But we did try one at a restaurant in this video along with some other amazing food!! th-cam.com/video/DqlClqpN05w/w-d-xo.html
That's just salt and butter on the corn, guys! It's the best, really! I can't do this at home as delicious as they can. The coxinha are not with mashed potatoes, that is actually made with a wheat flour dough breaded and deep fried.
The Coxinha has this teardrop shape and only has the chicken option, but there are also similar ones with other shapes, in the ball shape it is usually ham with cheese, filled with round beads is meat, in crystal shape it is meat with cheese, and square can have up to more than 20 flavors, in addition to sweet options hahah. Depending on the bakery, the cheese bread can be good, average or bad. Cheese bread is typical of the State of Minas Gerais, a place known for Cheese. Açaí comes from the State of Amazonas, people usually eat açaí with fish in the North of the country, in other states we eat it with fruits, powdered milk, paçoca, kiwi, banana, strawberry, mango, chocolate, peanuts and others, We put condensed milk on top. That açaí you ate is not of good quality, in a gelato shop you could choose the fruits, cereals and assemble them however you want. Great video ❤
Kkkk ...
We have excellent Native açaí in Amazonas but for me, bacaba patuá and buriti are superior. Putting granola in açaí is a crime. Fried fish with açaí is really something (delicious) from Para I wish was more popular here.
The best is not The food, but The drinks. We are allowed t drink beer, caipirinha...whatever. Plus its for free, we dont pay tô enjoy The beach, in t States some we do need to pay to stay and evenings they close the entire area, here you can go anytime. Love Rio. Just careful, there are pickpockets, dont let your stuff anywhere. Have fun!!
I also don´t believe you can find mashed potato on the beach. Why take the corn out of the cob? Here in Rio Grande do Sul we have corn on the beach... but on the cob, with those "leaves" (I don´t know how to call it) that surround the cobs, to hold it, and salt and butter. But they never cut the corn grains out of the cob.
Probably ppl here have already told you about empanadas being from Argentina. What I am not that sure is that you were probably looking for *empadas*, which is a completely different thing, and very brazilian.

You're crazy. All coxinhas are made with potato. The dough is made of potato. At least in the southeast region
@@samandnick some receipts use mashed potato AND wheat flour, other use casava mash and wheat flour, the one you ate seems like it was made with cooked wheat flour in chicken stock.
Mashed potato?! No potato. It’s COXINHA.
