    You can always find a way into whatever network, or server you're after. If the software isn't exploitable, the people will be.

    • @People_Tube
      @People_Tube 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yup. Software can be perfect and unbreachable for a time (before a bypass or an exploit is discoverd) But people, you can't make them unbreachable and perfect.

      Yeah - The Hardware and the Software can be airtight, but "the wetware" is wide open!!

    This is like some weird propaganda from Cisco. While social engineering is a huge attack vector, it isn't the end all be all. Its interesting that the "hacker" is a glorified skiddie with some social engineering skills.

    • @flyinginthedark6188
      @flyinginthedark6188 ปีที่แล้ว +23

      But it's true tho, most criminals are skiddies. Smart guys who can pull a 0day are likely to sell it to skiddies rather than using it themself.

    • @v380riMz
      @v380riMz 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well this is literally what hacking is. It’s not a Mr.Robot-esque thing where you write your own 0day exploits and use that to deploy malware on FBI work phones by infiltrating a network with your own rogue device that acts as a MiTM for work phones to connect to.
      All APTs do is spear phishing, wait for some user to download and execute their obfuscated malware and disguise the C2 traffic as legitimate traffic.

    • @Shmack_
      @Shmack_ 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Maybe back in the day there was but most systems are secure nowadays so the only way in is to social engineer. The guys writing malware are selling it to others to use it. Schooling for it is mostly learning to use tools already made. Only a few people that are actually writing code in the fly hacking systems.

    • @mikeyjohnson5888
      @mikeyjohnson5888 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Shmack_ The biggest hacks are still done in concert. 0days are still the premier way to attack a system.

    • @3xpl0i79
      @3xpl0i79 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Most APTs attack with social engineering, Cause Humans are the weakest link, No one would wanna spend days or months finding zero days just to attack one target.

    They don't shown the full picture in this promo video because being a hacker especially a black hat it's way dangerous you can see this women was just sitting and uploading some payload and ransom stuff in reality black hat hackers do a lot of damage including they burn up there devices after a big mission so it's like if someone gonna do black hat stuff he or she can be tracked easily if they're using the same device with MAC address or with IP everything can be out certain times MAC and IP can be changed but still they're caught in the act so a professional black hat hacker never keeps his or her devices with them they purchase newer devices or else make a new one everytime when they are attempted to do a big hacking stuff data breach is a common thing a beginner or mid black or grey hat does selling data on dark web is just way simple

      That’s because the mainstream system is crap i.e. seemingly ‘loses’ IT talented people to the hacking world. The system error is deeply burrowed into the OS of the society (any society) and the root is in the prevalent paradigm which promotes the insanity of idea that progress is the result of the battle between ‘the baddies’ and ‘the good ‘uns’. The mainstream system could not survive without the criminal part of it (if cybercrime were eradicated, the economies would fall- think of all the cybersecurity industry, the developers, the IT services providers, the intermediaries, etc). Similar to any other adversarial system- like war.
      It is what it is, but it’s CRAP.
