If it’s not “planted” in the ground with cement, it will be gone in the next storm..and not just behind the house, but not in sight. Sorry you had to learn that lesson. It’s never pleasant. By the time my 3rd pergola got damaged I just gave up. We had each one bolted to a deck and the first one literally went up and over the house to the street in front of the house. 2nd one got destroyed by snow & ice. And the 3rd got so twisted in a storm that it was a complete loss. I cried and screamed and just finally resolved to the fact that I was not meant to have a pergola, c'est la vie. On a much happier note I am so excited for your mom. I lost my mom 2.5 yrs ago to breast cancer, so hearing your mom's journey to recovery is fabulous. I think you and her need to do a video together. Maybe your mom, your sister and you can all get mani/pedi's, go shopping, do lunch, etc. Like a whole vlog dedicated to your mom and that life is beautiful.

Sorry, that is the first thing I thought when you put up the pergola. I've seen it happen too many times not to have that thought. I think my brother had 2 or 3 different ones around his pool that all ended up mangled in storms. My parents had a couple screen houses destroyed that way also. Even bolted down, you may find that it gets destroyed fairly easily. It's so disappointing each time.

Oh Nooooo!!!! I was worried about the pergola. I was going to ask you if ya'll had set it in concrete when you first set it up but figured you knew. Sounds like you did but mother nature decided to make things difficult before you could get to it. Uggggh! Is it pretty easy to take the fabric off? Because it will rip right off the frame in a big storm with those straight line winds. If you know bad weather is coming you could take the fabric off the frame to prevent damage.
In TX we have to concrete things like that into the ground or they just go airborne with our straight line winds. I’m so sorry that happened to you guys, it happened to us about 10 yrs ago so I feel your pain, I cried too. On a lighter note, so glad your mom is through with all her treatments! Love your hair, it looks so healthy! I really liked that green tee too, it looked cute on you!

Just finished Manifest all 3 seasons only to find out it's been cancelled. So we will never know what really happened to the passengers. Bummer! But, season 3 was really the best. It's definitely worth watching and hoping it gets picked up for another season.

I was a senior in high school and had on a bandeau bra.. for whatever reason, I wore it for senior day and we had all kinds of inflatable things, the bounce house, obstacle course, water slides, etc... well, I come down the slide and lost my bandeau lmao. I was horrified at 18. But now that I'm 25 and looking back, I crack up! I am so sorry about the pergola!!!! I can't imagine the feelings you have.
