Hey there....great video, as always! I wanted to mention a couple of things. 1....DUST! Your camera really shows the dust on that PO! Hehe. and 2. I was sure the PO-20 had that feature with being able to enable FX when not playing. And it does....sort of. FX 1-4 will turn on and off when not playing. Makes it great for doing intros. FX 5-8 are different. You have to hit play and turn on the FX (5-8) you want. Then stop playing and the FX will stay active while you play sounds. FX 9-16 do not appear to work at all that way, but they're real time sounds injected into the sequence. Anyway, thanks for getting me playing around with the PO-20 again! (and for making me think about getting a PO-24.....again)
I'm still trying to figure out my light setup, so apparently in today's video any little particles of dust showed up big lol. I totally forgot the arcade had a few effects that play like that as well, thanks for the reminder!

This is insanity. Trying to get back into making music/DJing after years.. Used to just use a midi keyboard and a couple of basic beat making applications to supplement club DJing. But this is next level and a challenge making beats and entire tracks and samples from scratch. Thanks for the inspiration!!!

Ok, so I just freeboxed one of these bad boys a couple days ago. (I know, I'm lucky AF.)
I have been.. well let's just say, I don't need drugs anymore.
I've wanted a PO for as long as they've existed, and I'm stoked this is my first one.
Since I'm learning as much as I can, I'm looking up videos now, and I definitely took something from this.
Using the FX the way you demonstrated, that blew my mind.
But I just had to know, and yes, you can have MULTIPLE effects running at the same time.
Effects 1 and ten sound really awesome with instrument 14. Add in effect 6, and your on your way to making a banger of a track.
Definitely can't wait to add another PO or twenty to my pockets. (Considering making a special necklace as I acquire them...)
It makes me so happy to know that someone else is enjoying the Office as much as I do!!!
Good sounds from a dusty boy! I think I'm sold on it after your video, it will be a fine companion to my OP-Z to make textures and tape glitches in trip-hop and lo-fi tracks.
It's a lot of fun for sure, sampling those sounds and messing with them is awesome!
Nice video as always. I know what kind of word you're searching for. I would say hostile. A few otber devices are like this. The vss30 and the volca sample 2. They all share this down sampled, micro tonal vibe.

iirc has the arcade and the robot, both, the possibility to play the effect nr 16 without the device playing. curious about the office, its one of the operators i never purchased because i thought it was just tooo limiting. i am big big sucker for the po33, its, in my humble opinion, the more versatile operator of them all. but i will totally check out your ep and may get myself now an office....

Wondering..: Did you ever find how to make the PO-24 sound Louder?
This PO-24 sounds really quiet, especially toe 14 sounds really quiet when having it play in a pattern ( when not connected to an external amplifier that is..) .
Interesting, I haven't really had any issues with my 24 sounding quiet.
@@FreeBeat Do you always use it connected to an amp.? If so you won’t notice it producing only half the volume compared to the PO-1x series, but if you use it “ stand alone” then the maximum output is really quiet, even at max. Volume ..

If it's your first pocket operator it can be tricky to master, but it is an awesome little piece of gear!

Please, I just bought an OP-1, I can't buy anymore Pocket Operators! I have plenty, but the Office and Sub are ones I still want.

@@FreeBeat Actually, that bloody Koala Sampler is crushingly awesome... It gives the PO-33 a HUGE run for its money. If you are going to sample the PO-24, I would go that route...
