Might want to mention a couple of things... People should check surf reports before snorkeling. If the waves are big and good for surfing, it will be dangerous to snorkel here. The conditions are more likely to bad for snorkeling in the fall and winter but please check before you go. Flat water is best. The other thing people with children may want to do is have them use a life jacket and also have them wear water shoes since there are sharp rocks and sea urchins that they can step on.
These are all great points! thank you for adding them🤙 Water shoes are a great way to protect your feet, but they can also cause people to be careless about where they step. One wrong step can cause decades worth of damage so (even if your wearing water shoes) try and only step on sand and whenever possible, float instead of walk
Nonsense. There is no danger whatsoever. The current is never strong. There are sharks. Just go in groups and pray that the sharks go for someone else.
Thanks so much for this video. We’ve been to sharks cove many times but didn’t know this beach excised right next to it! Thank you for showing where the best place to get into the water is. Great video!
Just hit up any of the dive shops on island. There's several that cater to spearfishing/freediving that will help you out. If your doing lots of shore dives you will wear them out kinda fast so I would stay on the cheaper side. Bring your fins, some shops will let you try them on to make sure they fit right.
Having grown up in the area, learned to snorkel/spearfish at Shark's Cove. If surf is not big(
