Literally blows my mind 🤯 how you achieve the perfect balance between showing the moves and explaining the physics behind 🤓 I really feel "I get it" from your videos and builds a lot of confidence in taking it all to the water 🏄♂ And then I just enjoy how all your content exudes stokeness 🤩Please keep up the good work.
Hey Cookie, great video as always! You really improved my windsurfing AND conficence to go out and just enjoy windsurfing. I just bought an used RRD Longrider 2019 as I want to surf in less than 8 kts in a lake. I think the newish Longboards are somewhat "underappreciated". Now all I need is a video like this, but for a daggerboard! ❤ Keep it up! 🤙 Reagards, Michael
Can't be reminded about this stuff enough... I've been practicing some back winded sailing and it just occurred to me why I keep getting pushed down wind even though I have the sail raked way back. Great video!
Today I tried my retro Mistral Flow 103. I bought it more than a year ago. This board is very slim compared to my Angulo Release. It’s all about the position of the feet. Constantly. Very helpful video my friend!
Hey Cookie!, You are an Insta360 guy. Wondering if you have a view on the Insta360 Go 3. It looks really small and lightweight (not 360) but how would you tether that thing for safety! Love the videos, sadly cant come to Vas.... its on the list!
Hey Cookie, great video as always I like how you explain the core concepts and you still have some specific detail to show or talk about in your next video :) Just a short question from my side as I am still progressing so I am running a relatively small sails 4.2 - 4.8 on a larger board - Fanatic Gecko 133L I wonder what fin are you running this setup on or your 5.0 sail setup let's say combined with a large board. My worry is that the board's original fin is supplied to work with sails from 7.5 upward and is a 46 cm. Freeride fin. My worry being maybe it starts to create too much lift and causing the board to tailwalk into the wind... Anyway I've ordered a 32cm Select Freeride fin to try on this summer with the 4.2 & 4.8 sails. Maybe you can do a video on fins although you don't normally do some detailed equipment oriented videos... however you did have the common rigging mistakes one in.. so maybe that's another thing people go wrong with - the fin size :)
Thanks! I’ll have a think about how to get fin info across while windsurfing… however sounds like the ideal subject for a “walk-along”… have you joined my Patreon page- I talk a lot about kit in there.
I noticed that i have quite a hard time sailing downwind in low-wind conditions. By "low-wind" i mean "just not enough wind to get planing". To stop turning right into the wind (e.g. after a tack), i focus on putting as much weight into the harness as possible - this releases the pressure my feet have on the board, allowing me to steer more down wind. But when there's not enough wind to get planing, i find it quite tricky to actually commit to the harness and at the same time sail more down wind, and i end up using a lot of energy through my arms to keep the sail in a forward position so i steer more down wind. Any advice what i should do? Probably also has to do with the positioning of my feet, right?
Could be hands/feet position… could be that at speed you steer with your feet (✅)…. Slower speed a bit more with the rig (✅)… but to steer downwind the rig must go diagonally across the board… not just forward as most people think!
Push the boom through board didn't make sense when other people talked about it.. Just 1 hour ago I learnt that you dont litteraly push the boom down but you push the boom in the forward direction like you're pushing the board forward through the boom..

This actually helped me understand what I’m doing wrong. Thank you ❤
Thanks for watching! 🤩
Exactly what I need! Best explanation on the internet. Thank you so much...

Another very educative video, Cookie!

0:46 omg how can you bend down like that WHILE hooked in and keep planing. I'd catapult harder than I ever done
🤣🤣🤣
Clearly, I didn’t even realise I had done it! I just wanted to wave at the camera close to my feet! 🤣🤣

Hi!
The Go3 looks great, but not had the chance to use it yet!
