Ariel, I agree with what your saying how “i buy what i want to buy and not collect everything for said member” i started collecting ot6 for wei and i just buy whatever i can afford so its less stressful for myself.
WEi have so many cards, I love them but I just can't afford to start another collection let alone a WEi collection. I think how you do it though is a great idea because otherwise WEi is stressful

It’s super nice to hear someone say that having no rules to collecting makes them less stressed. I used to collect 4/5 groups since 2018 and last July I decided to sell it all and stop collecting because it was becoming near impossible due to pricing and purely just the amount of comebacks each group had.
The start of this year I decided to come back to the collecting community with a completely different mindset and no rules what so ever. I’m only collecting one group this time round and literally just getting cute cards. It’s completely changed my views on collecting again, and I’m actually surprised how much I’m enjoying it this time round!
So many people have been weird about the way I’m collecting since I started again, but my response is always “my collection, my choice” and it’s something that’s never talked about enough in the community! You want to drop something do it, you’re no longer enjoying it - drop it or stop!
Your coments about collecting makes me chill out more about mine, things were getting overwelming so I decided to keep whoever I pull and buy my bias cards when I really like it, it works so much better for my mental health.

omg good luck on ot7 dream !! i agree you shouldn’t have to feel like you need to finish a whole collection within a month! it took me over a year to finish just ot9 nct 127 superhuman 😅 but i’m so proud of it now!!
yesss i am so glad you are so open about your opinion on collecting! it doesn’t matter what anyone says about your collection in the end it’s your money. whatever you collect is all up to you because in the end it’s your collection and it should be what you want and what makes you happy :)

i love when you mention the "i buy what i wanna buy" so much!! sometimes i forget i don't have to collect EVERY SINGLE ITEM!! unless someone else is going to fund my collection, i'll stick to the items that bring me 100% happiness and that don't break the bank!
Wow you collected alot of photocards and I just got new cards sleeves for my earlier birthday my mom brought the online and I'm excited to put my photocards in my card sleeves in my binder!

I love the looser terms on your collections! That’s how I’ve always seen my collection. I just prefer keeping what I pull and seeing my collection grow that way. It’s nice to see every card in a collection but I also feel like having every card takes away from it being a super personal collection.
I definitely have rules that I try to only buy albums that I know all the members and even if I have a bias I will be happy with my pulls because even if I have a bias I know that every member makes the group ❤️
(I say this and I just bought a 2nd Op.3 Attacca and pulled everything the same except for the folding card 🤦♀️)
That's actually how I decided to do my collection too. Before this, I collect everything of Lee Know's album pc & as much POB/non-pc album but now, I just collect the pc that I really2 like. It really help me to enjoy my collection more & not burdening me financially. Good luck on your collection!

this way of collecting is super freeing and i think more lenient rules "let you" get pcs you wouldn't have otherwise too!!
Totally understand as a Hyunjin collector myself it's so so frustrating...!!
1. People always do Prioritised their Friends. Why?? because they're the one hosting the gos? Reason why i don't join gos with random member these days because trading for hyunjin is impossible. (literally never get hyunjin, even tho you claimed the slot first they will always Prioritised their Friends only)
2. It's always "qyop" for Hyune
3. There is a new thing going on recently "If you claiming Hyunjin claim with other member" dude like if I can afford that all the time, I'll get ot8 instead of 1 member?
4. when i started collecting I got scammed for 4 photocards like they literally asked $25 for each photocard when actual market price is $7 for those album photocards
5. I already spend more than $2000 On hyunjin's Photocard and I'm not even done with My half list😭
There was a time when even thought of stopping myself, because it wasn't fun for me anymore. The way people only help their friends just because they have overseas seller. and after all this by any chance if we get his photocards It will be super expensive!
i collect hyunjin to and i decided duringin noeasy era that i collect the pobs i like but damn hes so frustrating expensive or hard to find. just before christmas evel i found the last album card i needed of him but recently i take my time with collecting mostly because i join go's and they just take forever to arrive
i also have a max i want to spend on pobs or album pcs or random cards and that has helped me

Hyunjin pricing IS stupid. I love the ferret boy.. but yea I would never try to collect him, which is why I only went with Chansunglix
I'm at OT8 stray kids collector and most of my missing cards are hyunjin or felix. They tend to be so over priced I just end up not wanting to buy them when another member is $4 and hyunjin is $8 just like WHYYYYYY

Hi Ariel you don't even have to explain yourself even I don't collect pcs or pobs but I know that member pricing is ridiculous and can take a toll on collectors especially Hyunjin some of his cards cost 300$ it's insane, it's your call if you wanna collect someone/group or not and how to do it since it's your hobby and your money to spend no one have any right to tell you what to do.

I honestly feel like a lot of collection videos and etc. have become about the pressure of what people want and ask, from sleeving to downsizing and the energy of all those videos is just bad. Of course it's not on the person making the video because y'all are probably not complaining for nothing but it's just annoying that videos get ruined because of that.
