One thing i ABSOLOUTLY hate about lol is this: Trailer quality is amazing. In game quality is Shit.

umm, lemme get this straight: first theres a fight between gambit and scarecrow, next we see a fight between kratos' creepy uncle and a ghost, then we see a fight between black widow and a paladin who later fights hades who fights a little girl and her teddy bear and finally they all decide to fight the kraken?

I feel like riot games could possibly team up with some big time director and easily make an amazing film, further explaining the lore.
I agree but the problem would be that they would (imo) have to include most if not all the champions at some point in some capacity (butthurt fans etc), so I think an animated series could be better

El Fueda im fine with the little lore Riot gave to the game. I mean, this is NOT a mmorpg, its a moba. They keep releasing lore, but to me, that´s not so important. Gameplay, stability, balance, those things are far more important tbh.

It amuses me a lot that games like the Witcher Series, or Crisis, make this 4 minute prerendered trailer look like garbage ... with their in game graphics.
This trailer is realy not that impressiv at all. It is if all you have to game on is a PS2 or a crappy laptop from 2000 but other then that most "new gen" games kick this trailer out of the park. And it's not even a year old. Blizz made better trailers in 1995.

Just imagine if the developers of HoS, LoL, and DotA/DotA2 teamed up and made one super moba. It would have the incredible depth, challenge, and graphics of Dota2, the fun, fast paced action if LoL, and the creative ideas of HoS like the map ideas and the npcs that join your team when you defeat them. Like seriously to me that would be the greatest thing ever.
I think it would be an abhorrent mess and I would prefer just to play DotA 2. (No offense to your idea.)
I like both games. But I like league better. It would be a bad idea unless they kept league and dota2 up while doing this. league and dota 2 are rivals. Seems to always be a competition between everyone which is better. It's just a game. Pick the one to your likings and play it XD. - I like league better, I don't like all of the "heroes" in dota 2 nor the graphics of them. Just not my play style. But I'm not going to whine how much dota 2 sucks because it doesn't suck. Just not a game I prefer to play.
Honestly, it's competition that keeps the quality in our game library. If there was a single monopoly on the whole moba genre, then it would diminish in quality because there aren't any other moba's to play if it's all controlled by 1 massive company.

I gotta tell ya. League is a great game... If you happen to be an elite gamer. If you are even slightly nooby at RTS games, you will get your ass kicked constantly in League. There is a very famous quote by Otto van Bismark that I believe applies very strongly to this game. "The weak (normal players) shall be devoured by the strong (elite gamers).

I find what you said extremely funny, since the only way to suck in league of legends is to stand still and do nothing, its probably one of the easiest MOBA games out there
albert arnold I'm guessing you're some kind of gold ranked player who has lost very few times if you are making such a claim. I've gone 0/8/1 in matches when I try my very hardest as the ADC. It's not an "easy" game by any means. The fact of the matter is, if you aren't a pro gamer, (like I'm assuming you are) then you just get screwed royally.

I don't know why everyone on here says league is bad. It's the #1 moba available right now. Bad games don't get to be #1 for no reason. Your ignorant if you think this is a bad game. Just because you don't like it doesn't make it bad. I don't know about dota, I have never played it. I don't even play league anymore but it's not a bad game. The community is probably one of the worst in online gaming but the game itself is pretty good. But, if you want a new spin on moba's try smite. It's pretty new not very big right now. 3rd person moba. good graphics and good game mechanics. Try that game.

To all haters.. All the characters in this cinematic are in the actual game..the person with cards is Twisted Fate then the scarecrow that he's fighting is called Fiddlesticks..then this blue guy running is Ryze..the one who's chasing Ryze is called Nocturne..then there's a fight between a paladin and a girl assassin..the paladin is called Garen and the assassin is called Katarina..when Garen was about to kill katarina...a man with the bigger right arm is called Tryndamere and when Garen stabbed tryndamere..Tryndamere didn't die because of the skill Undying rage..then this little girl that saved garen is call Annie and her teddybear is call Tibbers..then the Kraken shows up...Ok?? So stop hating I explained it all don't make me talk again...

why do people keep complaining that the graphics look nothing like this trailer? the cell shaded/comic book style graphics are sort of a signature look. If they ever tried to update the graphics, as well as everyone having to download such a huge patch and probably even an entirely different game most likely crashing servers, I doubt as many people would be able to play LoL. Although the comic book style may look gimmicky to some, it's a lot easier on people's computers with lesser performance power, so updated graphics=less people playing. And when it comes down to it, the gameplay is a lot more fun as well as better champions compared to DoTa.

dota 2 has evolved 100x times faster and better than,LoL.I keep wondering what is riot games doing to stop dota 2...riot games are too lazy,dota2 ti3 beat their prizepool,and now dota2 ti4 reportedly has 7mil..prizepool,clearly dota2 has gone far ahead than LoL,and is the most played game now.like me and many of my friends shifted from LoL to dota 2...its amazing but at the same time we wonder why we didn't play dota 2 before :-)
Honestly, I think Riot is much more innovative than Dota 2. Dominion, Aram are all interesting game modes. I wish Dota 2 has something like that actually, because I find Dota 2's heroes more interesting. Generally I am getting tired of the old 3 lane farm, push format and I wish valve can come up with some more interesting game modes like Riot did.

I'm definitely going to try Heroes, but Athene said it's very basic and casual-friendly, as the beta currently has no items, levels, etc... The xp gain is global across your team and there's not much room for one person to shine. Of course, it's still only in beta, but so far League is much more in-depth at the moment.

well LoL is a Tactical based game so you need some intelligence to play it ...
Axel schweiß actually yes, if you are not smart you get kited and killed if you don't farm early game you cant get items and get killed, if you don't ward you get ganked and killed, everyone can play MOBAS ( not only league of legends) but it yes but it takes time, strategy and intelligence to be good at it or you will get super frustrated because you die a lot.

According to the lol lore, when summoners rift was made a battleground for the league, the legendary baron nashor disappeared from the river and the in game one was created through magic based on the descriptions of the baron from survivors of its attacks. My theory... the baron shall return.
