Thank you! My next lesson is today and I have been watching videos and they have been saying “Just look” but I thought it would be hard to look at in the canter but since you showed me your POV on a horse it really helped and showed me it’s easier than I thought! Thank you so so much ❤

Do we give a kick with our outside leg when the horses lead inside leg is forward or back to ensure we canter on the inside leg?

Thank you Callie, brilliant as always. Just working on that at the moment, someone had actually just recently recommended to me to do it when coming out of a turn, and lean to the outside and back a bit, found this to be great (similar to what you're saying).

Is that to help ensure the horses weight is not loaded on their inside leg to allow them to lead with the inside?

My Haflinger is 5.5 yo and just learning to canter. She trots faster and faster and just seems to fall into a canter for a few strides. Should I concern myself with a correct lead or only getting her to canter? Also she will give a little buck sometimes before taking a canter stride.

Hi Callie. My lesson horse, Splash's, canter cue is half halt, right leg, left leg. I am struggling with this cue. Splash is very difficult to get to canter. Any suggestions? Thank you so much for all you do.
