縛られている抜刀斎を余裕の笑みで大勢で取り囲んでいたのが、抜刀斎が口で刀を咥えた瞬間に一気に顔色が変わり、最終的に縄が解けて抜刀斎が刀を手にした瞬間に絶望と恐怖で動けなくなっている敵対藩士達の演技が秀逸過ぎて好き。
もはやこの時の抜刀斎は刀を手に眼の前に立っているその剣気だけで恐怖だったんだろうな。

He's pretty calm in the other movies but in this one he's a monster
What i love about these movies is how character is portrayed in the fight choreography. This isnt just a mindless, bloody fight scene. The actor conveys kenshins loss of humanity, the music is somber and sad, while his opponents are cowering in fear. His attacks are fittingly fast, blindingly so and he has the imagery of a demon. And the way he nonchalantly cuts the mans throat at 1:10 just sums up his character's mindset in a single motion.
I dont have enough words to praise the genius of the choreography
Kenshin, as a hitokiri, is tasked with bringing "heavenly judgement" on the enemies of the emperor. Notice how he kills the head of the clan how a disgraced lord would commit seppuku? It adds another layer of detail to a bloody scene as the man falls on his knees in front of his fallen men.
Indeed, amazing scene, amazing choreography, amazing actor, the whole movie is amazing. But why do you say Kenshin lost his humanity? This was right in the beginning of his story when he truly believed his killings are serving a greater good, yet, after all his killing he felt remorse, didn't he? How old the character is in this moment of time? 17?
@@moma-b even though its the beginning of the film, this is prime Battousai. In my interpretation, Kenshin has casted aside his humanity for the sake of his greater ideal. Like he said in this scene, he has nothing against them but for the sake of the new world he seeks, they have to die. So he murders them in cold blood. Thats why the intro of Tomoe is so significant because she helps him reconnect with his humanity which leads to his vow to never kill again.
But everyone has their own interpretation!
@@qownsqud3207 Oh, now I understand what you mean. I agree, he killed these people as an executioner, so probably he had to put his emotions aside. (the character, ofc) The scene when he kills Tomoe's fiancé is different, there he lets his emotions in the way. He leaves the scene in visible shock (as played beautifully by Takeru Satoh).
It feels like it's turned into a horror movie with Kenshin as the monster.
最後の刀を捨てるところ、あくまでも人を殺す為の道具って感じがしてなんか好き
刀咥えたのは斬新だったけどそれ以上に容赦なく人斬り刻む剣心が恐ろし過ぎた。
ドラマが醍醐味のbeginningだけども
たまにしかないからこそアクションの
味も相当に高まったんじゃないかな。
これまでと違って異常な程の緊迫感があった。
0:38 ここ、「人斬り抜刀斎が刀を持ったぞ……！！」っていう絶望的な緊迫感が感じられてすごい好き
対馬藩士たちの役をやられてる方々も、阿鼻叫喚を告げる表情が上手で、人斬り抜刀斎の恐ろしさを引き立てていて本当にすごいと思う
ホントにね、こんなん来たら誰だって腰抜けそうになるよななかった
こんなに圧倒的な絶望感を感じさせてくれるキャラクター、ローグ・ワンのダース・ベイダー以来な気がする。

頭数的には圧倒的に有利で本来ならこの人数で袋叩きにすれば済む話だが、それが抜刀斎たった1人に全員が絶望と恐怖で全く動けなくなっている。
それほどまでにフリーで剣を手にした抜刀斎の剣気は凄まじいということ。
対馬藩士にも、新撰組沖田や斎藤など抜刀斎クラスの剣士がいたら良かったのにね。
冒頭からこのシーンは最高に鳥肌が立ったし何度観ても褪せない完成度
この冒頭の惨殺シーンだけで映画を見に来た価値があったと感じた
この惨殺シーンに合わなさそうな優雅で悲しげな和風BGM大好き
This scene is crazy! The Wohle Choreografy is just AMAZING ! People forgot most of the time, how many hours the actor put in training to do it like that.

@@passbai772 Where? I know there's a 2nd and 3rd after this. But they suck because he renounced killing so he stops killing people in the fights. Which makes them suck. But if there's more of him killing people.... I want to see it.
Still, this live action can't reach the sadness level of Trust and Betrayal OVA

This level of swordsmanship.. Takes me back to the Toshiro Mifune / Sanjuro / Yojimbo era.. Sword of Doom / Tatsuya Nakadai kind of tragic evil that men do.. For what ever reasons.. This is what firm determination and a cold heart looks like.. Devoid of any compassion even with the purest of hearts and intention.. You cannot avoid dying on the inside.. Absolutely showcases ferociousness and merciless nature of the Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu if ever faced in combat.. Conveys every sense of being overwelmed in such a brutal and lightning fast manner by what could easily be perceived as a demon.. Or the intent that mimicks one..
You can't get any more Hitokiri than this.....If you actually pay attention to the anime, almost every major opponent Kenshin faces would be instantly dead if Kenshin used a normal sword, even BEFORE he masters ARNH.....He lands at least one critical hit to everyone during their battle within the first 2-3 attempts. With a normal sword everyone would be dead. Thank God for the Sakabato the series didn't last 10 minutes only....lol

ほとんどの対馬藩の人が首斬られてるのは一撃で絶命させるための抜刀斎なりの優しさなんだろうな。胴斬りつけたり、刀突き立てたりするのはアクション映えさせるためだとご都合解釈しておく。
そう言われると確かにほとんど首斬られてますね！

This was Kenshin in his prime.. I wonder how long would his enemy last againts this verison of Kenshin.. Jinei, Aoshi, even Sojiro would get slaughtered easily.. Shishio is the only one I think who can put up a good fight but still would have no chance..
Saito fought him to a draw during this time... Okita was pretty much even with him as well...although he had a sickness.
@@willwhite6110 though i was referring to those he fought as a wanderer.. however between okita and saito, okita is more skillful than saito, his style is quite similar to sojiro without the shukuchi, though saito has more experienced, but interms of fighting ability they are both practically even..
Between Saito and Kenshin, quite disaappointed that a fight between them never happened in the movie.. though it would be competitive and nearly even, Saito knew that none of them has the capacity of beating kenshin, perhaps the reason why in the movie they just let them go..
@@kashmir1671 Kenshin fought Saitou as Battousai and a Rurouni... but yea I saw all the movies... certain things had to be done to make it more realistic over the anime. I do think the Kenshin vs Okita fight was the best choreographed of them all.... the setting was just wonderful.

The only one who can beat this Version of Kenshin probably was Hiko Seijuro himself

これ見ると第1作目の刃衛が警察署にカチコミして警官を斬殺したシーンを思い出す。
このシーン、普通に考えたらありえないシーンなんだけど、(口で刀を操るなど。)抜刀斎のいわゆる名前を聞いただけで身の毛もよだつような存在を表現するのにピッタリなシーンだよね。
また殺し方が秀逸で、ただ切るだけじゃなく、頸動脈を確実に狙って殺してるのもリアルで素晴らしい。
ちゃんと抑えて首切ってるのアニメの実写でここまでちゃんと殺さなくてもって思ったけどなw

ザビキニングの冒頭のシーンは震えて見た覚えがあります。でも、健剣心は美しくてびっくりしました。本当に口で刀を抜く所が好きですね。凄かった！
鉄の棒であれだけヒットさせて昏睡させれるんだから、こと斬殺するだけなら今まで出てきたどの敵も瞬殺だよね

Very. When Takeru Satoh was shooting the first movie, he kept an online journal and I was able to have a friend translate. he said that there wasn't a day which his body didn't hurt. He also talked about the time the cast went to dinner, everyone was done and they asked for the check only to realize Takeru was still ordering food. It requires so much energy just to keep up that he was constantly eating.
