Looks like Pasadena East Colorado Boulevard behind. Unbelievable, I guessed it's California, but not the only neighboorhoud basically which I lived in for a while. Seems like a popular town for such videos.

The Tesla Model S is my pick. Much better styling, and the phenomenal Tesla supercharger network.

I'd pick the EQE instead of the MS.
It's not all about acceleration. Electric cars are fast enough.
I'd like to have more comfort and interior quality.

With the news that Mercedes is discontinuing the EQE and EQS platform lines; (I'm guessing they're switching to BMW's strategy? Where i5 and serie are same platform, and i7 and serie?) I wonder if it's safe to buy into an EQE model or if we should wait for the next cycle where there would be that iE or whatever they call it

Specifically what tech specs the EQE lacks in comparison to the Tesla model s? And what about build quality? Overall, a very good review. Thank you

I sold my model S and am now in my eqe53amg. The eqe is substantially more advanced than the tesla, especially the lane keeping and adaptive cruise control which are a sick joke and still beta in the tesla. Where is the tesla HUD, voice control that understands non-americans, 3d parking cameras, and digital lights? One day tesla will invent a computer large enough to drive this tech, or they could just buy it from mercedes

Model S because of the reliable charging system and the tech

Tech, what tech? This is what happens when you make assumptions. The tesla autopilot is laughable compared to the non-beta system in the eqe. Digital lights…hud…both too advanced for the tesla to handle. Go take a test drive and see how a real autopilot system works

i drive a SL550 and an S560 and tested the Model S last week and the EQE today. The Model S is faster , the EQS has far better ride and fine interior- in Mercedes tradition.

We have the EQE and also looked at the S. The EQE is much nicer and drives smoother. Plus you have a dealer network. Just a better car

I feel myself lucky I finally sold my Tesla😀 Horrible quality, horrible service!!! All time I felt myself like in DIY car. Only power and speed were great

I bought the EQE 4 matic. Tesla's are dime a dozen poor quality and fall apart as Hertz sold off all model three's after a year. Mercedes is the best!

At least *this* electric vehicle makes sense. At over $70K it's clearly made for those with a house _Who can easily afford having a charging station installed._ Everyone ranting and raving about affordable EVs. Meanwhile, outside of certain parts of California, outdoor charging stations for EVs are ridiculously rare. Even taking into account that Tesla is offering a conversion plug so EVs that aren't Tesla models can be used with their charging stations. It's simple. You want an EV, you better pay to have a charging station installed on your property. Oh, you live in an apartment? Don't buy an EV.
Let's take NYC as an example of what I mean. Number of outdoor EV charging stations for the public?... Roughly 1,500 for a city with a population approximately 8.5 Million residents. (And that 1,500 is taking account charging stations located in the suburbs of the city as well.) Are you kidding me!? Come on! That is a frickin' disgrace. EVs the wave of the future? Not if you live in an apartment building like most people do. So yeah, this Mercedes EV at least makes sense. Anyone who can actually afford it will have a house and a charging station installed that'll barely make a tiny scratch on their wallets.

Another clueless "reporter". You are comparing this to the Model S and Lucid Air??? That is what EQS is for! Get the basics right...

Mercedes-Benz is banking on their name selling it because this thing gets crushed by its competition. What an actual pos.
