WHEN you have a character in SoD3, @Brian Menard, they should make him sneeze randomly with your weird-ass sneeze and attract nearby zombies! "Funny sneeze" is the trait and is a positive morale booster for the community.
I really want to see: -Car crafting and customization (like in Days Gone) -Basic crafting benches on your vehicle (molotovs, bolts, bandages) -Armor crafting and customization -More variety of bases with customizable slots -Some horror-ish elements when exploring highly infected areas at night -Boss enemies where you have to fight with your whole community in an infected area and you can switch between people during the battle What are some other ideas??
I want to be able to keep zombies out the base: -if we could build/reinforce fences around your base that they will have to destroy before they can get in. - Craft traps -border windows - call enclaves for reinforcements I feel like there should be penalties for letting zombie get into your base, maybe damages to the building or lower harvest on your crops from poisoning the soil Infestation should have more of an impact on the map, maybe if an infestation is around a certain amount of time it birth a plague heart
Way more in depth things like a relationship system where characters in your community can develop different relationships with one another. Maybe have two characters that are in a romantic relationship or a really long friendship get bonusses when they are on missions together. Also gives you more purpose to keep certain characters alive etc
Having weather tied to specific maps would make some sense. Trying to have four seasons while on one map would be sort of weird considering most games only take place over a few weeks. So having the snow map and rainy season map could be good.
Oh yeah for sure. It'd be dope if the maps were maybe in different places in the US too, like maybe a map in New Mexico for a desert-y map kinda like Drucker County, they could do one up in New England for a map like Providence Ridge that could be snowy, maybe even a map in the south like Louisiana or Florida for a more swampy kind of environment, that could be interesting with the plague too. I think it'd be a cool evolution since some of the maps in 2 were somewhat same-y.
Can't wait for SoD 3, super hyped for it but if there is 1 thing I'm wishing for, it would be that I hope there is a more "advanced" survivor customization. Doesn't even have to be creating your own survivor from scratch, but I mean the clothing system. Instead of simply changing a full outfit / hat like in SoD2.. you can change shirts, add or remove a jacket, switch the pants, change boots, add gloves or even a mask, etc etc. Something I always wanted in SoD 2, allows me to be more immersed with my community with how I wanted each survivor to look within the group and be completely different compared to other communities I created where everyone just wore the hoodie fit, which I still wish I could add gloves to.
Thanks for uploading Brian. For the devs: I have over twenty years of gaming experience, one thing i always wanted to see in SOD was the ability to develop or build your base how you wanted. I don't mean have a small or large plot and build a workshop, or farm etc into that empty slot. I mean firstly decide where you want to place the small or large slot manually, and then place your choice of what you want, also be able to extend fences/walls etc and use different materials, wood, sheet metal, concrete. Or better yet have the ability to convert any POI into a base, the amount of players i have heard say..i wish i could change the Hopsital on the hill to a base, or the large warehouse in Trumbull valley near the damn, etc, etc..i feel that is one thing that has always been lacking with this game.
im glad they're taking their time, i was there waiting for sod2s release and it really did take a year before that game to really seem like a finished game. ended up being my favorite zombie game ever in a few years and what i wanted from it. state of decay 3 has so much potential to take that spot and then some
Integrate all SOD2 maps into a single large map for SOD3, adding Mount Tanner and Danforth. Each area as a specific biome, Mount Tanner with snow and Danforth as a radioactive area, which would justify new mutations...

What we want to see in State of Decay 3 1. Improved driving mechanics 2. Drivable motorcycles and especially the heavy ones 3. A ability to use zombies for our interests 4. Improved character stories 5. Firecamp to let our community set around for a cards game or a story to tell 6. A way where we can lure a zombie to our camp lab and do some tests/researches on it 7. And i hope the characters focus more about other character's death, not like in SOD 2 throw a sad line or two... 8. been playing since the demo launch of Sod1 on xbox. I hope they take their time with 3 as I've done nearly everything, in sod2, from homeless runs to 0 guns, to 1 survivor etc. and I would love a game I can play however I want again. So I am not worried about when they release it. I hope they release it in 2 years, that way we know all of the expectancies are most likely going to be met.
I think The Bronto gas station fell apart because it was hit by a car. I hope the time jump isn't too big. I'm still hoping to see Izzbee, Hoffman or Lily.
I can see how the multiplayer aspect was overlooked in this trailer via the radio call because its typical that enclaves typically call out for help. So it easily can portray an enclave element rather than a multiplayer element. They definitely did an amazing job on this trailer overall.

My theory is, in the trailer, the girl that gets jumped by all the zombies with the hunting rifle, i think she was trying to take on a plague heart. Why else would there be a ridiculous amount of plague in a building that's glowing a ridiculous amount?
A couple things I would like to say. I just started the video. The sod 3 trailer looks like it will have drop in co -op similar to division 2 does where you can send out an alert to ask for help and people can join your session. But you could lose your character…ie bring the annoying one who keep starting fights….Also after watching Brian playlist of the game mode breakdown both recently and 2 years ago. I want the normal zombies and feral of SOD 1, they seem way more of a challenge than what we have in the current game. Just lower their health of the lowest difficulty levels. It’s almost sod 2 normal zombies are a slower and wait their turn to hit you unless their sod 1 counterparts. And breakdown ferals…seeing a pack of those would be terrifying. Also facilities management of SOD 1 was better as well. And lastly want a new enemy type and also zombie animals as well…predators and prey.
I would love if they added first person for that extra realism feel and a city map would be sick, as well as realistic graphics for the zombies and combat and more base customisation like being able to build defences anywhere around your base or in it (that it fits into)
It's called a rainforest for a reason it rains quite a bit it doesn't rain all the time but the trees are so big that they put out hundreds of gallons of water and yeah typically when you go to the lake or in the forest there's usually a lot of water

Opinion: if I had to guess on what those egg looking sacks could be. Maybe sleeping or hybernating ferals? 🤔 I would love to see maybe some hybrids. Example: feral Juggernaut. Feral that's build more towards being tanky like a juggernaut. Or a juggernaut feral that's build more towards the agility of a feral. I would like to see if maybe if ferals could be extremely agile. Like could jump on top of a car from the ground then from the car to a roof of a building. Maybe run along walls. I feel like seeing a feral rip it's way through its own kind just to get to you as a player would be terrifying. Maybe ferals are build different and approach more like a cougar or a mountain cat. Sneaking up on you. Or staking the player. Maybe they go from two legs to running on all 4 limbs. And able to run ( on 2 legs) and then go into cheetah mode at keep up with the cars... For me personally the multiplayer aspect of the game (or any multiplayer game) doesn't appeal to me. As I'm not a babysitter. & don't have time to hold people's hands who don't what their doing. Or will end up being a liability. E'm i asking that everyone is a pro. No. I'd rather deal with A.I. or solo than dealing with a 13yr old phone scrolling kid who's squeaky voice is constantly crying help through the headset every nano second. If I also had to guess on the plague system. I'd say maybe hearts could appear & get out of control like infestations. Maybe plague areas grow and consume more of the map. (Start small - grow massive) If left unchecked What were your thoughts on not seeing any guns suppressed? It's how many years into the future of this universe. & they haven't figured out that loud ass guns is a big no no. It's also mentioned the S.O.D.3 universe has been picked over. So super duper mart will likely be empty. But hunting seems to be a even less likely story seeing as how in the first trailer the doe/elk. Was totally infected. & will they become a threat. Unless you want to eat infected elk... The water is probably not any better. Not likely you'll find any good fish. My guess. Is seeds. & garden. Persistent maps would be nice for seasons starting in Jan ending with snow in Dec. To give that: day/week/month counter. time has passed feel. I don't like the idea of it always being snowing or always summer biome. 3 months per season is quite a long time. But you also get to experience it all instead of doing 4 different maps just to get a taste of different weather systems. It's my opinion. And my thoughts. Before any comment warriors came at me in the comment section. Keep in mind it's all good vibes and nothing but respect for everyone. I'm not discriminating anyone or anything. Everyone is loved and should feel welcome. ❤
What I think is if it’s a new game and we all have to restart are communities they should put a mission at the beginning of state of decay 3 of are forever community getting overwhelmed and everyone dying then after the short game play of trying to defend your base the game will start with a cinematic were you choose your lone survivor that makes a new community Kind of like the tutorial mission in state of decay 2 just it’s endless zombies until your wiped out

I enjoyed the breakdown as for my take about the snow in one trailer and this one having no snow what if that is a way to show the weather changing like the season changed and now we are in either after the melting of the snow or in the fall. To me it would be kinda like beating a dead horse with show us snow twice imo.
From what I see for their games they care about what their players think because they know that without the players there would be no game some game companies think it's the other way around if it wasn't for us you guys wouldn't have this game to play know if it wasn't for us you wouldn't have a game in your menu and that's what I like about Undead labs I wish them a lot of luck in all their Ventures for all their games
The over the shoulder angle for SOD3 trailer was throwing me off. Hope they go back to the SOD2 angle for sure. Looked like it's hard to get a bead on the zombies.
I like the idea of crafting and all that stuff but I don't want it to be the only way to obtain guns, crossbows etc. I'd like to be able to go on a looting trip and find these things in the world from time to time. I bet they will also be obtainable through missions and trading ofc
I'm really hoping for the ability to swap shoulders & no auto holstering of weapons, I wanna be able to melee with my rifle butt and have to switch to my melee manually

Man I’m pumpd if the shooting looks and feels how it looks this game would be up there I love sod2 but it felt like a slight upgrade from sod no hate I understand these guys are indie this is still one of if not my top favorite video game like you said I know these guys will make a great game for the people it’s intended for and also I would more unique movement for survivors idk little things like that I love the less arcade look and the zombies head not exploding when you kill them there’s a lot to take from this trailer this is already looking like a more serious version of the game that originally started only people that are shutting on the game are the people that didn’t play it form it’s inception and don’t understand the process evolution and progress

Only think im scared about is how it will be with those guns i mean i hope there will still be the same amount of guns otherwise it looks a bit like downgrade so we will see like will there be anything to loot at all if we will have less weapons ? Also i would love more custom things like change the color of cars and little things like that.
I really really hope they have multiple modes of play where we can at the very least disable plague hearts if they're still in SOD3. The hearts was the least enjoyed part of SOD2 for me. I just wanted to play a normal zombie apocalypse game without the pressure of having to deal with hearts or the spread of what hearts bring. Please devs make it optional or alternate modes to play!
I just hope we can build bases from scratch. not already made bases with slots to build in.. if you have the materials why not build anything you want.

This is one of the main reasons I bought a Series X so I'm super happy (and relieved) they went in this direction

Highly recommend to use < and > buttons to move frame by frame when a video is paused. Helps a lot with taking the best shots the fastest way.

Feral that's build more towards being tanky like a juggernaut. Or a juggernaut feral that's build more towards the agility of a feral.
I would like to see if maybe if ferals could be extremely agile. Like could jump on top of a car from the ground then from the car to a roof of a building. Maybe run along walls. I feel like seeing a feral rip it's way through its own kind just to get to you as a player would be terrifying. Maybe ferals are build different and approach more like a cougar or a mountain cat. Sneaking up on you. Or staking the player. Maybe they go from two legs to running on all 4 limbs. And able to run ( on 2 legs) and then go into cheetah mode at keep up with the cars...
For me personally the multiplayer aspect of the game (or any multiplayer game) doesn't appeal to me. As I'm not a babysitter. & don't have time to hold people's hands who don't what their doing. Or will end up being a liability. E'm i asking that everyone is a pro. No.
I'd rather deal with A.I. or solo than dealing with a 13yr old phone scrolling kid who's squeaky voice is constantly crying help through the headset every nano second.
If I also had to guess on the plague system. I'd say maybe hearts could appear & get out of control like infestations. Maybe plague areas grow and consume more of the map. (Start small - grow massive) If left unchecked
What were your thoughts on not seeing any guns suppressed?
It's how many years into the future of this universe. & they haven't figured out that loud ass guns is a big no no.
It's also mentioned the S.O.D.3 universe has been picked over. So super duper mart will likely be empty. But hunting seems to be a even less likely story seeing as how in the first trailer the doe/elk. Was totally infected. & will they become a threat. Unless you want to eat infected elk... The water is probably not any better. Not likely you'll find any good fish. My guess. Is seeds. & garden.
Persistent maps would be nice for seasons starting in Jan ending with snow in Dec. To give that: day/week/month counter. time has passed feel.
I don't like the idea of it always being snowing or always summer biome. 3 months per season is quite a long time. But you also get to experience it all instead of doing 4 different maps just to get a taste of different weather systems.

What I think is if it’s a new game and we all have to restart are communities they should put a mission at the beginning of state of decay 3 of are forever community getting overwhelmed and everyone dying then after the short game play of trying to defend your base the game will start with a cinematic were you choose your lone survivor that makes a new community
Kind of like the tutorial mission in state of decay 2 just it’s endless zombies until your wiped out

Have you seen the Infection Free Zone game that came out in April, i think. It's a zombie survival game. You can actually put your hometown in the game lol

I enjoyed the breakdown as for my take about the snow in one trailer and this one having no snow what if that is a way to show the weather changing like the season changed and now we are in either after the melting of the snow or in the fall. To me it would be kinda like beating a dead horse with show us snow twice imo.

I would say the time skip is 3-5 years a Kmart closed and about 3-5 years later and it looked like it was in an apocalypse
From what I see for their games they care about what their players think because they know that without the players there would be no game some game companies think it's the other way around if it wasn't for us you guys wouldn't have this game to play know if it wasn't for us you wouldn't have a game in your menu and that's what I like about Undead labs I wish them a lot of luck in all their Ventures for all their games
The over the shoulder angle for SOD3 trailer was throwing me off. Hope they go back to the SOD2 angle for sure. Looked like it's hard to get a bead on the zombies.
I like the idea of crafting and all that stuff but I don't want it to be the only way to obtain guns, crossbows etc. I'd like to be able to go on a looting trip and find these things in the world from time to time. I bet they will also be obtainable through missions and trading ofc

Once infestations get too big they should turn into plague hearts. In sod2. Not sure what 3 will be like. Hopefully badass

I'm really hoping for the ability to swap shoulders & no auto holstering of weapons, I wanna be able to melee with my rifle butt and have to switch to my melee manually
I do hope you can invite random people into your game/ get invited by randoms to play together in this world. The random matchmaking in sod2 is great.

Man I’m pumpd if the shooting looks and feels how it looks this game would be up there I love sod2 but it felt like a slight upgrade from sod no hate I understand these guys are indie this is still one of if not my top favorite video game like you said I know these guys will make a great game for the people it’s intended for and also I would more unique movement for survivors idk little things like that I love the less arcade look and the zombies head not exploding when you kill them there’s a lot to take from this trailer this is already looking like a more serious version of the game that originally started only people that are shutting on the game are the people that didn’t play it form it’s inception and don’t understand the process evolution and progress
I want a more realistic state of decay where we have needs bars like the Sims4 and get to build relationships.

Only think im scared about is how it will be with those guns i mean i hope there will still be the same amount of guns otherwise it looks a bit like downgrade so we will see like will there be anything to loot at all if we will have less weapons ?
Also i would love more custom things like change the color of cars and little things like that.
I really really hope they have multiple modes of play where we can at the very least disable plague hearts if they're still in SOD3. The hearts was the least enjoyed part of SOD2 for me. I just wanted to play a normal zombie apocalypse game without the pressure of having to deal with hearts or the spread of what hearts bring. Please devs make it optional or alternate modes to play!
I just hope we can build bases from scratch. not already made bases with slots to build in.. if you have the materials why not build anything you want.
