Add some masking tape to the hand rail and cement patio to make clean up a little easier and help avoid "staining" cement patio with cement used to fill in voids.
When you core the hole, we typically use a large amount of plumbers putty and make a ring around the coring bit and it keeps it cool without all the mess and water and concrete particles from flying all over. Just a thought.

@@Pool-guy Great video. Watched it a couple of times to see if I could catch how you attached the connector to the rebar. You mentioned chipping. When you hit the rebar with the core drill - I assume you sliced right through the rebar. Did you then go back into the hole and chip away an area big enough for the connector to go around the rebar and connect? How did you manage to do all that chipping in that small hole? Would be interested in better understanding that piece. Need to do a similar project. TIA!!
This is exactly how not to do the job not only is it a hack but in a couple years of you taking the rail in and out those cups are gonna be ripped right out of the ground when you take it out one year
Let’s see….that video was from 2022, and we remove that rail every winter to put on the cover. That was only the first one I videoed but have been installing them in like manner for almost 20yrs. All of them still work just as well. The bronze deck anchor works perfectly with the stainless steel rail so no corrosion happens. If you use the cheaper aluminum then you will have problems. Bronze is the best thing to use

Was core bit rig stable enough if you drill slow? Worried about rig moving while drilling
Getting it started is the only time it seems unstable. I compensate by standing on the base to hold it in place
Do you have to ground both anchors or one ?
One is sufficient as the handrail is a all one piece and contacting either anchor would work
