Blaze Wizard mobbing is for sure an acquired taste. You're pretty much mobbing, in spite of the classes best efforts to stop you. It can be very fun, but it can also be incredibly restrictive. There are also some legitimate no-movement full map clear rotations at the later levels for sticking it out! So light at the end of the tunnel right? :COPIUM:
I will never understand why players would willingly farm while not moving. I got my Blaze to the point where I could do the non moving rotations. And I just ran around super inefficiently because I would rather hit 100 buttons for 50% rates than hit 10 for 100% rates
Ooo a true class expert’s opinion. Personally I feel it’s the awkwardness of the orbital flames that holds it back on a ton of maps, cause it other skills are cracked
My main is a 261 BW, pressing down with savage flame makes it the foxfire which is similar to f/p’s 5th job branching skill. It’s a unique grind style and you have to appreciate the juggle. Using the hyper skill phoenix overdrive and shooting out the group of orbitals, then immediately going back to flashfire immediately arcs them across the map ones hitting everything in the line if you’re strong enough.
I made a flame wizard boss mule about a month ago and am absolutely loving it ! The one thing I hate about them is how their 5th job big fire ball skill doesn't ignore damage reflection on its way back. Happened to me a few times where I'd throw the skill before the boss has damage reflection on, and then the boss reflecting the balls' damage on its way back, killing me.
I'm a Blaze Wizard Main for 5+ years and i still love the class, not planning to change main ever. PS: Jump + orbital flame upwards (holding up middair) on the floor can kill everything in some maps, you dont even need to go up on the plataforms.
Fr orbital flame is my least favorite main mobbing skill, it's good it just feels clunky and the balls return weird. They could've changed it but they didn't.
I stopped playing DW after the revamped because of the change in his main 4th job mobbing skills. I'm assuming the new ones are technically better, but the old ones had such cool visuals and sound effects.
@@lostfigure3703 First person who shares my sentiment about the changes. That old Spin -> Stab was so satisfying, even though the new ones are technically better. Also the Shadow Clones were super fun to use as well... DW was the class that needed the least changes, yet it was the only class that actually got changed. So stupid
Granted, I'm a Hero main so I have a single brain cell, but BW just felt like a ton of work for very little payoff. You have to manage multiple things, your movement inputs need to be pretty precise for Orbital Flame, and the end result felt kind of like diet F/P Mage.
better support buffs though, blaze wizard is within the top 10 of damage when you play them right, and hero is on the low side for real performance damage
With proper use of flash fire and understanding of your skills cooldown, this class can be pretty brain dead to grind. And what's even better is that due to his high mobility with flash fire, his many "summons" and the fact that he can attack up and down too, you can grin in ALMOST any map. I can't quite agree with this video, the only class I'd put in grinding potential above blaze is Kinesis, his black hole is insane. And yeah, blaze wizard's inferno sphere is crazy good, his bossing is pretty enjoyable.
Down+Cast to use the opposite mode of Towering Inferno / Savage Flame that you are currently in, Fox Fires are always better for mobbing and bossing and core for both, having a basically stationary summon with a pretty big range of reach is very very good to use, salamander also flies everywhere as well which helps with mobbing and another source of damage for bossing.
For the rework they should have made it so Blazing Extinction can take the normal balls into its orbit like an actual sun and get a massive AoE while traveling across the screen Then for the "pet" abilities first blow it up for massive damage, then release the orbiting balls as the homing missiles Very simple but satisfying loop, with a full kit that works together and keeps the theme.
FP Mage is a DoT class, Blaze Wizard is a summoning class. Both of them are sustain damage classes that need to rely on multiple sources of damage all damaging the boss at the same time.
I think it would be really cool if they changed the orbital flame to be almost like throwing stars, where you press it and all of them shoot out and return back to you, reducing how much you have to spam the hell out of your keyboard. it would turn the class into a sort of mage/ thief hybrid since they have flash jump.
I think it would be nice if they angled the orbital flames so that each one fans out increasing the vertical hitbox further away from the character. Idk if it'd be applicable to the new hyper but if they just changed orbital I'd go back to maining this class. Also needs more flame gears, give me nostalgia.
I think one important BW history everyone should know was that at the point of its release, it was the strongest KOC class ever dethroning the Thunder Breakers. Orbital was super fast and Extinctions range was huge. So much so that it didn't take that many patches for Orbital and Extinction to get nerfed to hell. Orbital became way too slow and extinction was practically useless.
If they didn't nerf blazing extinction to hell, this class would be alright, the 600/400 range it started with was far better to farm/grind with. 300/200 is a joke. This class once gave luminous a run for its money now it doesn't hold a candle.........
I hyper burned my BW and it became my favorite class. I love its mobbing but I don't like the micromanagement of skills when bossing. When funded, though, it still feels really satisfying to play.
Blaze Wizard, Illium, Kenesis, and Lara are all “acquired tastes” as flash jump mages. 😅 Idk about Kenesis, but the others are slept on. I would say, they are great classes for Kanna mains to transition to if they don’t want to jump into bishops.
Blaze Wizard is another class which I have a checkered history with. It is not for the faint of heart. As someone who has put a lot of hours into beefing up an Illium into a boss mule AND mains Kinesis, Blaze Wizard is a tough cookie to deal with. You will either love it or hate it. I originally hated the class during my time spent in Luna, forcing myself through the mud to 140, relying on Blazing Extinction to push myself for the measly +40 INT on my legion. Nexon seems to be doing everything in their power to make the class appealing towards more players, and while I have developed a newfound interest in this class after the Cygnus Knights revamp, not everyone shares my sentiment. (My critique of Blaze Wizard is based on POST Cygnus Knights revamp) Class Pros: High base damage. Powerful party buff (Burning Conduit). Ability to control the direction of you main skill, throw fireballs in front, downward, or even upward to higher platforms! Basic bossing mechanics incorporate impressive 'fireball juggling', accumulating in decent DPS, this in turn allows for a much more powerful attack (Towering Inferno - Flaming Fox) when 5 Fox Mischief stacks are built up on the enemy. Blazing Extinction is the SPICY equivalent to Ice/Lightning Mage's Frozen Orb, but is more damage-centric. Does NOT require boosters, as most of the previous buffing has been converted into passive effects. Now has a chance to regenerate MP, akin to an MP Eater skill, and still carries the full MP recharge skill (despite keeping the 60 second cooldown). 5th job skills are very versatile in combat (in mobbing AND bossing), transforming the monotony of Blaze Wizard. Burst skill (Inferno Sphere) works similarly to Bishop's Divine Punishment, but because this is more of a DPS class instead of a support class, the damage scales much higher and easily. Inferno Sphere can also be used strategically, to easily dodge boss attacks directed at the ground. Has a protection spell (like Holy Magic Shell) that can block against certain boss debuffs, like Chaos Crimson Queen's undead effect. Class Cons: Despite high base damage, requires a bit of funding for the class to take off, in my experience (21% Magic Attack / 9% Damage emblem, 24% Magic Attack / 9% Damage shield, 23% Magic Attack / 10% Critical Rate staff)-- Not required specifically, but what I settled on to get GOOD use out of it. Base critical rate is nothing to write home about; not as bad as Illium, but requires some legion/link skills to prioritize correctly. Suffers from a pretty low base Ignore Enemy Defense (IED). Pre-level 200 Blaze Wizards have an underwhelming display of power, despite their impressive base damages, and even for the first few levels AFTER level 200 (depending on funding). Orbital Flame (main skill) suffers from two critical flaws: delays between attacks (as you cannot cast more than four fireballs at a time), and the hitbox for each attack is much smaller than other class skills, attack speed modifiers (at least to my evaluation) do not seem to affect this. Mobility (as far as mages go) is among my least favorite, as it merely up jumps, flash jumps, and possesses a weaker variant of a Bowman class teleport, disappearing after a single use. Inferno Sphere might be more powerful than Bishop's Divine Punishment, but takes longer to charge and you carry fewer Phoenix Feather stacks, meaning less duration. Requires micromanagement in any combat situation: Blazing Extinction, Savage Flame, Salamander Mischief, and Orbital Inferno must be kept in check to assure proper DPM in its rotation. Requires a TON of button mapping to organize and utilize all of Blaze Wizard's skills, where most of grinding before 5th job requires maybe 2-3 attack keys, acquiring 5th job skills doubles this, and they are ESSENTIAL for use.. Verdict: Blaze Wizard is the class that warrants large, fiery bombardment, but suffers from impractical, high-maintenance input. The bossing capabilities behind the class ARE present, but seem slightly unrefined. Little is required to buff up the class in terms of skills, and some of the 5th job skills possess tight cooldowns. If funded, it can quickly make short work of early to mid-game bosses (I even managed to shred cleanly through Chaos Queen's health bar by holding down Inferno Sphere). Despite MY enjoyment, I cannot recommend the class to a newer player, as it is very demanding to take full advantage of its overlooked power. 🪄❤🔥🧙♀
I am kind of burned out on my Pali and was looking for a new fun class to play and I found the Blaze Wizard to be the perfect class I was looking for. Decent mobility, mobbing and bossing and flashy. So all around fun to play.
Blaze Wizards have been skipped during two consecutive All-Cygnus-Knight revamps in a row (Ignition and the one before it), and (as of this comment) have been nerfed in 3 consecutive patches in GMS, with a 4th consecutive nerf coming in the next patch from KMS. Why so much BW hate from the devs? 🤷🏻♀ Also, swapping out Savage Flame is a big nono, that thing is one of the best mobbing skills we have for lazy mobbing! Just gotta remember to down-arrow when casting it so that it sends out a swarm of fireballs instead of a large explosion.
ok hi BW here PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT YOU CAN USE THE OTHER MODE'S SAVAGE FLAME/TOWERING INFERNO IF YOU HOLD DOWN WHILE USING SKILL lion savage flame in mobbing is not that good, but you can use the fox version in lion mode if you hold down while using it which does far better bossing wise fox savage flame reigns supreme in terms of damage but lion (down + savage flame) can also be used if you need a burst of damage instead of damage over time mobbing is interesting: you get access to some wild maps cause flashfire and fox savage flame does well but it comes with the funny caveat of training at mobs BIG ENOUGH (also damage but you're playing BW that doesn't really exist). READ YOUR SKILLS. DON'T UNEQUIP SAVAGE FLAME.
Anything that’s a projectile a hacker can use to kill the whole map for example the marksman class has a projectile first job so hackers use this class mostly now
They don’t know how to design this class. Normally in RPGs when you see a mage that specializes in pyromancy you would think that it’s offense oriented. But they make this half support class that lacks damage and a fireball juggler with double jump but can’t use all their skills mid air.
Hyper burn a BW to 250, made it my new main but quit before the Ignition event end. My only issue with BW is not about the damage, her damage is quite good, stronger than my previous main Zero, the issue is BW lack of identity. Beside of throwing balls forward and back, she got nothing else that make her playstyle feel unique and cool. I expect something more since her name is BLAZE wizard. Can I burn something? No. Can I set the whole map on fire? No. She just makes things go BOOM and... that's it, even the explosion is not that satisfy. Take out the color Red and she is a mage that shooting energy ball with fire attribute. I think Nexon don't know how to deal with her kits, so they just add a ton of damage to compensate for her playstyle. BW really need an overall revamp to fix and attract new player to play this class.
I think that it’s a much more unique play style than most other classes as you’re basically juggling and making sure your skills line up in timing with when you flashfire back. Much more active than standing still and pressing a button back and forth yknow?
@@chasebank8019 except that BW can mobbing while standing still in late game, Savage Flame, Blazing Extinction and Salamander Mischief will cover the whole map for you if you pick a right position.
@@MMonshiro for sure, the trade off is less efficiency while grinding on most maps that you can do that. For example, the maps where that is possible are generally smaller maps. While you can reach 12k or so mobs per hour at those maps, larger maps that require some juggling will net 15k+ mobs per hour for the top tier ones, for example fire spirits 2 in cern
I don't play my BW because: 1. I HATE in classes where you have to press a skill every 4 seconds to keep optimal damage and clearing AKA BW's giant sun, IL's slow moving ice crystal, DA's shield launch, NW's bat fountain 2. Mobbing orbs just don't feel good no matter how you play. Just makes me want to have a regular flash jump mobbing skill
Hyper burned a BW, but did not manage to get it to 250 (stuck at 235), I cant believe im gonna say this but even NW has better mobbing experience than BW. The biggest problem is Orbital flame. It has mediocre vertical hitbox, and can only cast max 4 fireballs at any given moment, even at 5th job. If they make this skill better i think BW will be much more viable.
I still wonder why they made Blaze Wizard, well, Blaze Wizard way back when cygnus knights were brand new? We already had F/P Mages to cover the fire element, after all. Was there a reason they couldn't have made it cover a different element? Or were light/fire/wind/electric/dark the only major elements to maplestory back then? There very easily could have been a different common element, like water, wood, maybe metal? It just bugs me a bit that Blaze Wizard has always suffered from a theme overlap.
I felt the same way. I thought to myself "Just make a F/P mage instead". If they switched the element with Wind, it would've been great. But, then they made the Bowmaster more flame centered, so then they would look like the clone.
Back then, they had to be diet explorers from a single branch that was totally streamlined. An explorer had to choose from 2-3 paths, have a planned skill build since you couldn't max everything, and buy mastery books for 4th job. The point of KoC was to ignore all of that and provide a basic version of a singular class path. DW had Brandish, BW had Meteor Shower, NW had Quad Throw, etc, all to mimic the gameplay of what that explorer would do. In return, they lack entire mechanics like combo orbs or several passives and buffs like element amplification (could be wrong on the specific example). So the element was 'fixed', as in, couldn't deviate from F/P or I/L or Bishop (light/holy) elements to choose from. The mage KoC would have to overlap based on the premise of KoCs at the time.
Cygnus knights originally were intended to be transformed into Explorers, their level cap was 120 and then you had a quest which could transform you into the job of the same type, that's why each path strongly resembles an explorer job (DW -> Hero, NW -> NL, BW -> FP, TB -> Bucc, WA -> BM). It was only a few years after where they got revamped to be their own thing, Ignition was in fact their 2nd revamp.
Why play this cgynus knight when DW douvles/triples its dmg and also gives the same amount of dmg/debuff with true sight with 100% uptime and u dont need to be in a circle
Looking purely at damage there is no comparison. Mostly a difference in play style and bw has better mobbing by a bit. Also helps that bw probably won’t get nerfed directly aside from the overall mage nerf with mana overload
For me I don't really like playing Blaze Wizard mainly because I dislike how every ability is the same color. It would be nice if they add in at least a blue flame.
As an old school Fire/Poison main I've disliked the concept of Blaze wizard since day one. Just doesn't feel right. That's MY class's predominant element. I'd have been ok with it if they had subsequently released exclusively ice, poison and lightning mages respectively
For me, its because they flash jump instead of teleport as a mage class, and being unable to use spells during flash jump unlike most classes that have flash jump
BW is truly an aquired taste...I'm having a good time with them at 255 and I can't even begin to explain why...But I think it's the class identity for me! Pyromancy is GOOD
I mean, Blaze has supportive skills, while NL has none. So it stands to reason that it is weaker than NL because of that support, so it's stronger in parties, but weaker alone.
This class was perfect before they reworked the familiar system Because all you needed was the Jr boogie and it would recover large amounts of MP for u
it is just a hard to play class, play it right and they deal some insane damage, meanwhile adele and demon slayer are good enough damage considering they require 0 brain cells to play which are the players that main those classes
BW is gimmicky in a bad way, I think most people who find fire mage classes in MMOs appealing usually want something classic, simple and hard hitting. Tiny boomerang balls that need a lot of funding ain't it
Blaze Wizard literally has the best mobbing the game and is super chill and fun, just need to know how to do it. ~ Place teleport at the far right or left of a map, you want more large horizontal maps, but their mobbing is good they can pretty much mob anywhere. ~ Jump throughout the map spamming small fire orbs (Lion) and down+casting their 5th job skill to summon the fox fires with some hat CD and on 6 charges you have a full uptime summon. ~ At the end of your map, throw out your big 5th job fire orb and immediately return to your teleport, the return range will go to where you were when the fire orb returns and has a massive increased return range (used to be infinite). ~ Use Salamander every time he is off cooldown. ~ Use phoenix circle whenever you want, massive hit box and damage. ~ Loop this process. (Pizza is now always applied to the caster [Blaze Wizard] as long as it is summoned.) Bossing: Skills are always on cooldown, sitting on cooldowns loses you damage. NEVER consume all of your phoenix charges, as long as charges are always recharging, you are dealing optimal damage. You want to save phoenix circle for its utility as well for air suspension and super stance. You don't need to redirect cygnus summons, it has an attack limitation, not a duration. If it disappears you can immediately just summon a new one. Lucid phase 2 and 3 sucks for Blaze Wizard... that is the only trouble parts they have for bossing though Equips: ~ Hat CD very good for towering inferno, 5th job fox fires, and salamander ~ Inner Abilities are +1 Passive Skills, unique 2nd/3rd line chance to skip cooldowns (helpful for more pizzas during party bossing, but solo is just for towering inferno skips), and buff duration for pizza and your death-prevention
Alternatively for mobbing, if there is a hidden portal in a good place you can flashfire on it, extinction and orbital inferno then take the portal. Use savage flame fox there and reset on a 6 second timer to do it again. Repeat for 2 hours
KMS actually ranks it S tier in mobbing. and pretty decent A tier at bossing, because their support buffs are op as hell. underrated class just like illium.

mobbing is interesting: you get access to some wild maps cause flashfire and fox savage flame does well but it comes with the funny caveat of training at mobs BIG ENOUGH (also damage but you're playing BW that doesn't really exist).
READ YOUR SKILLS. DON'T UNEQUIP SAVAGE FLAME.

LOVE YOU COPPERSAN
I'd love to see another video about Lara. It has not been talked about lately.
I love fire Wizards in MMO like the Wizard with Fire Path in DAoC Albion or the one shot build in WoW Classic Fire Mage. MS is no exception :)
Can you do one for Lara?
Make sure your toggle is always on, the skill that replaced ignition
I don't play my BW because:
1. I HATE in classes where you have to press a skill every 4 seconds to keep optimal damage and clearing AKA BW's giant sun, IL's slow moving ice crystal, DA's shield launch, NW's bat fountain
2. Mobbing orbs just don't feel good no matter how you play. Just makes me want to have a regular flash jump mobbing skill
Can you do a video about wild hunter?
I'm hyper burning Blaze Wizard now. Very underrated class!
As an old school Fire/Poison main I've disliked the concept of Blaze wizard since day one. Just doesn't feel right. That's MY class's predominant element. I'd have been ok with it if they had subsequently released exclusively ice, poison and lightning mages respectively
I think people expected a flashier class, even the name "Blaze wizard" screams explosions and tons of fma's but we just got a "fire juggler"
To be fair, I think it's pretty hard to get flashier in the fireball sense than cataclysm. That attack looks and feels sooo anime.
For me, its because they flash jump instead of teleport as a mage class, and being unable to use spells during flash jump unlike most classes that have flash jump
The main reason no one plays BW is because Fire/Poison mage outclasses it in virtually every department without the need to micromanage half as much.
Huh? F/P is way more micromanagement than BW, you're cycling like 8 cooldowns rapidly
It’s funny because on release, BW was really good and was seen as the superior version of FP Wizard. Now it’s meh.
This is totally false.
BW is truly an aquired taste...I'm having a good time with them at 255 and I can't even begin to explain why...But I think it's the class identity for me! Pyromancy is GOOD
It wasnt the big ball of fire that hit the whole map. It was the main mobbing skill that could
Bruh you are tempting me to delete my blaze wizard and replace it with next hyper burn
Why nobody plays Blaze Wizard: Dawn Warrior
Before EMS closed I remember this being one of the most broken classes for leveling
I used to main this class but dropped for Kaiser. It’s just a weaker night lord
I mean, Blaze has supportive skills, while NL has none. So it stands to reason that it is weaker than NL because of that support, so it's stronger in parties, but weaker alone.
Answer: they dont respec the flamekitty realness
A good 2-3 min is for your sponsor and thanks to your donaters ... wonder how long the the shootouts will eventually get 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Even fire and poison has a better gameplay style than blade/flame wizard and dev should have make it's skills better.
I hyper burned my blaze wizard, what a grind 😫😫😫 worth the 100 int stat on legion
Lmao...I'm just now watching My Hero Academia, and of course you'd show footage from ahead of me and I saw spoilers, rip!
Simply because you get to play one more type in fire/poison..
I'm playing this class now I love it
Ok is the term funding used for meso or real money
Meso!
Why no one plays xenon
On the contrary this is my favorite class
Can you do "Why NO ONE Plays Demon Slayer" next?
They gotta stop the revolving flames it’s so stupid
This class was perfect before they reworked the familiar system
Because all you needed was the Jr boogie and it would recover large amounts of MP for u
so surprised nobody is asking for "Why NO ONE plays Wild Hunter" i guess our class is just that bad 😭
I coppersan ,I play the blaze wizard and he is epic , plenty of FIRE lol
How about kinesis!
i need you to say Raar Maar Waar one more time.
BW bossing mule gang gang
it is just a hard to play class, play it right and they deal some insane damage, meanwhile adele and demon slayer are good enough damage considering they require 0 brain cells to play which are the players that main those classes
Why no one plays Kaiser
I wish nexon would make a true nostalgia server. I would love a version released either before or after cygnus knights released (no Aran and after)
"Why everyone plays BEGINNER" on April fools 😂
I didn't want my account to get accidentally banned for playing on a Blaze Wizard so I simply never made one
Please do kinesis
i call demon slayer/avenger for next vid
BW is gimmicky in a bad way, I think most people who find fire mage classes in MMOs appealing usually want something classic, simple and hard hitting. Tiny boomerang balls that need a lot of funding ain't it
Why no one playing shadower 😮
Yeah I wasted my hyper burning to 250 on this dumb character
Blaster 👍
A shame too. Their concept is cool, but that gameplay is absolutely not it.
Kain please
Bring back flame gear :(
do wild hunter plz xD
(Pizza is now always applied to the caster [Blaze Wizard] as long as it is summoned.)
Bossing:
Skills are always on cooldown, sitting on cooldowns loses you damage.
Lucid phase 2 and 3 sucks for Blaze Wizard... that is the only trouble parts they have for bossing though
Equips:
~ Hat CD very good for towering inferno, 5th job fox fires, and salamander
~ Inner Abilities are +1 Passive Skills, unique 2nd/3rd line chance to skip cooldowns (helpful for more pizzas during party bossing, but solo is just for towering inferno skips), and buff duration for pizza and your death-prevention
Do ark next!!!
why everyone plays adele
Im brazil ping sucks :(
Boring class dumb mobbing/bossing main attack skill
I think I’m one of the only Flame/Blaze Wizard mains in MapleSEA …🥹
