I really ENJOYED MY TIME ALONE! when my kids were all in school I loved it!! I decided to enjoy it to the fullest. Going to stores by myself not having kids to watch. I just decided it's my time. Theres nothing wrong with that. ENJOY IT GIRL!!

I’ve been a stay at home mom for 16 years now. When I don’t have a little one home, I’ve had at least one child home with me for the passed several years because I’ve homeschooled too. They are all in school this year and it is definitely hard and different this week. I’ve kept myself busy cooking meals and keeping the house up. I look at my new role as a support person for my family who has to be out in the world and be “on” all day. I want to be mentally available to listen, empathize, love them when they come home. Keep up the good work and just look at all the ways you can help your kids while they’re not home. 😊

I loved when all my kids were finally in school! Actually, when my youngest started school I still had a foster child, but he was transitioning to an adoptive home a couple months later. When he left We also stopped doing foster care.That’s when I was really happy lol. Too many kids for too many years-I loved an empty quiet house.

The empty nest during school hours get easier. I remember how hard it was to adjust. I couldn't stay focussed and I felt less productive than before. The school hours go so fast too. Make sure you enjoy some time alone and not just mum jobs. I began to read, garden and roller skate.... then I had a surprise pregnancy so beginning it all again.

There's always dishes and laundry to do. I don't mind doing them, it's mopping and cleaning bathrooms i don't care for. Good video. I'm sure it is different with no kids, i remember those day, then just when you get your routine, school will be out and there home again. Enjoy while you can. I miss those days for sure.
I filled my Kia Soul with lots of stuff the only empty place was the driver seat I gave always to a place for veterans they sell it to help veterans I felt so good after I got done got the idea from watching your videos

I remember the days when I would send my kids to school and at first it was a relief to make to make to that first day of school, but I enjoyed being a mom so much that I felt like you do. You just have so much hope that you have prepared them and want so much for their success. But it’s all so worth it when they are grown and successful. I love your channel you are a great motivator. I didn't have that problem with the kids going to school. because I had to go to work when mine were in school. But my grandson and his wife just put my great grandbabies on the bus Thursday and thier youngest just started kindergarten. and they both cried as the bus drove away. my grandson cried harder than the mom. and she works from home and is having a hard time. so I get what you're saying. but it will get better. as time goes on. thanks for sharing.
Sometimes I think laundry comes out the walls because if you don’t keep up it’s overwhelming. Anyway another wonderful video and I think you do a wonderful job with preparing back to school. I wasn’t as organized all the time it was so crazy getting four kids ready with clothes and supplies in time for school. A lot of the time my husband was out to sea for about six months at a time which was not easy. Military isn’t bad but the separations were so hard.
When my boys went to school I was lost . Yep I am one of those . I don’t apologize for missing my kiddos . Then when they were in 4 th grade I started homeschooling best thing I ever did !!! Now they are in college and it’s a whole new world of missing them lol .

Both of mine are High School Graduates now. But yes, I remember those days. You can volunteer at school a couple days a week if you're getting lonely. I cried when my babies went to their first days of school and I think I cried more when they graduated because I knew if wouldn't have them both at home for much longer. My oldest (21) has moved into an apartment with his GF and some room mates, my (17) graduated a year early and is in her 3rd semester of college, starting 4th in a couple months. She says she wants to stay with us at least till she graduates, which I'm fine with, but it's still different, she worked, has friends and is always on the computer working or playing. But it's still nice having her here, sometimes she will just come give me a hug for no reason and it's nice. I have no clue what to do when she leaves, I've been a SAHM for over 18 years, I used to babysit in my home, but I couldn't do it anymore for personal reasons. So, what do I do now? LOL. I have an Associate's Degree in Business Management that I've never used and to be honest I don't know if I'd remember any of it at this point. Guess I'll be starting over soon. Maybe me and my SO can travel or something.

Back when I was in that stage of life that first day of being by myself was surreal for sure. So I made a schedule for myself as the pre-k and 1/2 day kindergarten time goes really fast. So I wanted to be productive and do the best of getting things done if needed or have some “me” time at that part of the day. 🌺

This is my first year with both kids in school. My older son is staring first grade and then my little guy is in prek 2 mornings a week - so not totally empty nest all day but I know it will be an adjustment!
Laundry is a constant struggle...and girl the dish thing is real. I swear as soon as I get the kitchen 100% clean and sparkling someone's drops a dish in the sink....🤪

I’ve been a stay at home for almost 6 years now and both kids (10 & 6) just started school full time too😢 they love it but it’s bittersweet for me of course. I’m staying busy with home projects/touching things up and constantly cleaning anything I can find. I also clean for friends and family to stay busy. We’ve got this girl!!
I think this summer has been rough for me as well- my oldest daughter moved into her own place and my youngest is in 8th grade so my house is feeling a little quiet as well. Hang in there! *hugs*
I love all your cleaning videos they always give me inspiration I missed my boys when both were in school it was really hard for me and I couldn’t wait for the days they were off and the holidays especially summer when school was out . I did get a lot done and went shopping before they got home it will get better for you after a few weeks you will get in a routine and time will go by really fast ❤️

I missed mine when school started back every year. Now I'm a MeMe. My daughter teacher Preschool. ❤️ so it's like it's started all over again. Mine start August 29th here. Someone told me when mine were little. You only have 18 Summers. Boy that put it into perspective. They drove me crazy at times. Lol but man those 18 Summer flew by. My grands are 4 and 6 and it is flying by again. The school years go by fast also. Maybe it's because I feel so old. I don't know.
My kids started back to school back on August 1st. I wasn’t ready for summer vacation to be over. They definitely weren’t either. My oldest graduated two years ago. He’s somewhat special needs. So he’s home with me now. My 16 year old is in 10th grade, 10 year old is in 4th grade and 9 year old is in 3rd grade. That first week was hard for me.

My house is quiet too Karrie, at least for 3 hours of the day now. My oldest started 3rd grade and youngest vpk this year. It's nice to have a little bit of time for myself, but I miss them!
I can definitely relate to being alone soon!! My kids go back to school Sept 7th, My 17 yr old will be homeschooled but the other 3 will be in school full time, including my 4 year old, so it will be quiet for sure!! Not looking forward to it!

I just want to tell you that I did not find your youtube channel that long ago. BUT I LOVE IT 💕😀💜 oups forgot I am from Canada. As the Kids grow the house gets more and more empty,friends had different ideas and I think they are wonderful. They felt sad and alone way to.much so they decide to do something outside the home what caused anxiety so one decided to do charety work, the other one is taking classes and one of them found a job 2-3 days a week in an none profit organisation. They feel much better and we never know what can happen in life so they wanted something to put in their resume. They were explaining to me that they met great people and the fact that they are young they could not see themselve being home for the next some years. No judgment I am just telling the story of my amazing friends 💜💕 I get the fact that working on making videos with great content like you do takes alot of work it self.
Hi Karrie. That alone feeling you're having and not being used to being alone will pass. Besides, Zoey will keep you company. Lol. Just remember you're only alone a few hours and then once the kids and dad get home, the normal loud and business will come rushing back in addition to the homework chaos. I missed mine when school started back every year. Now I'm a MeMe. My daughter teacher Preschool. ❤️ so it's like it's started all over again. Mine start August 29th here. Someone told me when mine were little. You only have 18 Summers. Boy that put it into perspective. They drove me crazy at times. Lol but man those 18 Summer flew by. My grands are 4 and 6 and it is flying by again. The school years go by fast also. Maybe it's because I feel so old. I don't know.

My kids started back to school back on August 1st. I wasn’t ready for summer vacation to be over. They definitely weren’t either. My oldest graduated two years ago. He’s somewhat special needs. So he’s home with me now. My 16 year old is in 10th grade, 10 year old is in 4th grade and 9 year old is in 3rd grade. That first week was hard for me.
Yes its tough I can't believe how fast time goes by especially when they actually start school.

My house is quiet too Karrie, at least for 3 hours of the day now. My oldest started 3rd grade and youngest vpk this year. It's nice to have a little bit of time for myself, but I miss them!

I can definitely relate to being alone soon!! My kids go back to school Sept 7th, My 17 yr old will be homeschooled but the other 3 will be in school full time, including my 4 year old, so it will be quiet for sure!! Not looking forward to it!
It's really difficult. If I can offer any advice it's to fine something to do for the day like make a plan 😅 I didn't and I was so lost

I just want to tell you that I did not find your youtube channel that long ago. BUT I LOVE IT 💕😀💜 oups forgot I am from Canada. As the Kids grow the house gets more and more empty,friends had different ideas and I think they are wonderful. They felt sad and alone way to.much so they decide to do something outside the home what caused anxiety so one decided to do charety work, the other one is taking classes and one of them found a job 2-3 days a week in an none profit organisation. They feel much better and we never know what can happen in life so they wanted something to put in their resume. They were explaining to me that they met great people and the fact that they are young they could not see themselve being home for the next some years. No judgment I am just telling the story of my amazing friends

Hi Karrie. That alone feeling you're having and not being used to being alone will pass. Besides, Zoey will keep you company. Lol. Just remember you're only alone a few hours and then once the kids and dad get home, the normal loud and business will come rushing back in addition to the homework chaos. So, enjoy the alone time to just basically get things done and do what you like. Great save on reasoning why you washed clean lunchboxes. Lol. Hope you and your family have a great weekend!!
