    • @mrfred1000
      @mrfred1000 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@alexsbikesandmotors Your thought process is why she did it in the first place. When consumers go to buy something instead of saying hmmm this item is $20,000 and I make $28,000, that's way too much, they go, OH it's $20,000 but the payments are $500 so it's not really hurting my pay because I can make the payments, which is what makes it a dumb decision in the first place. So you're saying she's dumb, but you're also saying "Not really" to the comment the other poster left saying that's 75% of her pay in a car. When you make purchases, you MUST think Income vs the purchase.
      If your car is $20,000 and you're going to lease or finance, you're now in debt for $20,000 regardless if it's delayed purchasing. If you can't walk in and buy whatever it is right then, with cash or debit, you can't afford it. If you can walk in and purchase it with cash or debit and it will leave you broke after, you can't afford it. So you shouldn't lease a car, not buy a car $20,000 cash and have $0 money left over either even though that's better than leasing, especially if you are in the negative, which means you're in debt, adding to more debt willingly.

      Cobalt? Just remember to get the ignition recall done. Many people have died because Chevy did not think lives worth anything.
      www.cars.com/recalls/chevrolet-cobalt-2008/
      This ignition coil recall is more dangerous than the Takata airbag inflator recall on my book. The former could happen anytime as long as the car is on, the later only kills when the airbag is deployed.

    I made the same mistake about 4 years ago. I was hungry for a new car and bought a $25,000 car at 20 years old with a $30,000 income. Now 4 years later I’ve learned my lesson. Not proud of the action, but I’m two years away from getting rid of that vehicle and I’m making $40,000 a year now. I will never ever commit such atrocities again. I’m financially savvy now and I hope this woman learned her lesson. All that suffering was unnecessary for me.

      Good point. Could she have rolled over residual debt from her previous car? Since it needed work and if she traded it in she likely received very little for it. That could explain the high cost.

      Exactly, thumbs this comment up hundreds of times---hope this lady sees this video and reads this. I told my wife(fiance' at that time) this exact thing for months prior to our wedding and she wouldn't listen. A few months after the wedding, as nice as it was--she realized it was one day and she would have rather had that wedding money cost to put down on a house or furnish our living.
      Wedding's are a day, marriages (should) last for life.
