A Camel track composed by Andy Latimer that I've arranged for solo guitar. This is only the intro and closing section of one of their finest pieces of music.
I've always thought that 'Ice' would make a gorgeous 'unplugged' song. Yoyu have definitely shown me that I was right. Many thanks for a lovely rendition.
Hoy la vuelvo a ver y, una vez más, Alex, ... Llevas a todo Camel en 10 dedos. Qué deleite... Muchas gracias... Un fuerte abrazo desde Monterrey, México
This is a beautiful version of Ice. I am sure Andy would be proud of you. Please play more of Camel. Tutorials, tabs etc. would be greatly appreciated. Well done!
Whoa!! 12 years I haven't seen that was so long ago !! Thank you for this gift Alex !!!! Beautiful piece I can't stop listening Im enjoying SO MUCH playing along with the tab !!!!!
Insisto: No se puede creer lo q toca este flaco. Veo y reveo el video y cada vez me sorprendo mas. Sos muy groso! Y te tengo un poquito de envidia jejeje! Maestro total.
wow ,thank you! I remember the first time i heard this , it was terrible war days in my country in the 80s. I could not but cry every time i hear it, it would be bring all the suffering out, and tears of hope hearing it... thank you ,nice rich interpretation!
When I saw your upload titled "ice", I never thought it was that ICE. I was there at Tokyo 1980 and was listening to this piece played by Latimer. Indeed this could be well arranged in one guitar and still leaves all the features of the original. Thank you for the beautiful piece.
Thanks. I'm amazed by your transcription. I've listened so many times "Ice" on my old LP, that its incredible to hear it so nice. My best regards for your work. I'm huge Camel fan (from 1975, my favorite band), and thanks, thanks. My son began to play your transcription, I was yet amazed. Thanks. ^^
wonderful...wonderful hyperboreal you have captured this piece majestically.steve hackett, steve howe and andrew(bless him to get well after his transpalnt)you have good taste in mentors to look up to my friend.
@DjangosBurntFingers Hey, thank you so much, hilarious nickname :D I didn't know about the Steve Howe album, I'll be looking forward to it impatiently now.

hey men!! you are incredible I realy love this song and your version is realy incredible! great job!
MAAAANNNN!!!!! WHAT A COVER!!!! I think this is the best cover I've ever heard. It's simply perfect. I don't have another word. Way better than perfect. Congratulations. Your techique is amazing. If you ever happen to be in Argentina, and you want to make a tribute band to Camel, here I am in drums! JEJEJE! Again, perfect cover.
hello I'm Diogo, i have 13 years and I study guitar in my country, Portugal. I really like your interpretation of this timeless music of camel ice. how can I get the sheet music for your particular version of this song? Can you help me? Please respond
I quite like your taste, from classical, 1970s progressive rock, to percussive Mediterranean DiMeola stuff! In 1979 concert in Shinjuku was with Peter Burdens. Mostly from Breathless album in which Latimer sang "Rainbow's End" at the end. The very next year was totally different, promoting the album Remote Romance with two new keyboard players and they played "Ice". BTW my dog is "Corgi".
superbe arrangement de ce morceaux de camel , vous rendez l'esprit de ce morceaux magnifiquement, merci , s'il existe une transcription écrite je suis preneur et j'espère y arriver un jour
2dn video i watch after the Keith Jarrett's part IIc... Very nice piece you play here from Camel.. And still very nicely done. Have you ever tried "Trilogy", from ELP ??
WOAH! My friend! Is this how Latimer played it originally? Or have you interpreted the lead AND chords like some form of genious???? I'm eager to know! Either way fantastic work mate keep it up!
Can't believe this video is almost 10 years old now. Old youtube used to pin the most liked comment to the top and I remember learning portions of this arrangement from the tabs. I tried googling in vain. can you share them again OP? mesmerizing stuff!
Hi, thanks! Unfortunately the site where I uploaded the tab is not available anymore. You can send me a private message with your email address and I'll send it to you.
