Australian Top Fuel and Top Alcohol Championships. The full classic Drag Racing '97 TV broadcast.

Round Two of the Castrol New Year Series at Willowbank Raceway was headlined by rounds of the Australian Top Fuel and Top Alcohol Championships. Graeme Cowin, Robin Kirby, Glen Mikres, Terry Sainty and Rachelle Splatt making up the Top Fuel field. In Top Alcohol the dragsters of Mark Brew, David Glenwright, , Gary Phillips, Paul Shackleton and Stan Tindal faced the Altered of Jeff Burnett and Funny Cars of Alan Dobson and Steve Harker. There's also all rounds of Top Comp, the predecessor of Supercharged Outlaws, featuring names like Tom Coonan, Graham Porter, Debbie Reed, Kevin Campell, Troy Critchley, David Wallace, John Payne, John Mol, Semi finals on of Super Comp Eliminator with the late Mike Tinney, Colin Lloyd, Dave Tucker and Brian Marsden plus all the other Sportsman finals are shown including a Ben Bray vs Mark Allan Junior Dragster battle.

Loving all this old stuff.the only time iever got to see event coverage like this was in our local nzhot rod mag race results section no youtube or much internet in nz back then very cool to see it all in video form thanks guys

pretty sure the glen mikres car was an ex mcdonalds car cory mac drove. i hate how f/c never got anywhere in australia. all 10 year old me wanted was for jim read to put one of his engines into jim and steve reed's cutty.

Correct - The Rapisarda car was an ex Maccas ride from the US
