It does snow a lot in the winter. It usually starts around mid to late November and ends in April. If you want to avoid snow, I will recommend looking into BC. This year it snowed a lot in BC, but usually it doesn't snow this much. I remember, a few years ago, it only snowed three times throughout the year in Vancouver.
