After almost a year of trophy-draught, SK returned with back-to-back titles by following up their win at cs_summit Spring 2017 with a first place finish at IEM Sydney. After picking up the MVP award in Los Angeles, Marcelo "coldzera" David was once again the stand-out performer for the Brazilian side in Australia.
coldzera edged out his in-game leader Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo in the race for the MVP due to a massive performance in the grand final against FaZe. Most of coldzera's highlights came from the four-map series against the European side which he finished with a dominant 1.32 rating.
The Brazilian superstar finished the event with a 1.26 rating overall, with below-average ratings only in the first two maps against North and ViCi.

If you watch it carefully, you'll see either his enemies does not his position (%80) or he is too quick to pull the trigger. This is how CSGO works.
That's why the other very skilled players are not as good as coldzera. For an example karrigan. He knows the game very well, he is so smart, he knows all the smokes flashes mollies, he is so good in terms of general information. But he does not expect the unexpected. His enemies usually see him before he sees them.

On this vídeo cold vs Niko, Rain and Kerrigan, his skills showed us that he was the better! I'm brazilian but that vídeo showed clearly this fact! wacht that vídeo again my friend. Cold against Niko(top 2) and Kerrigan and Rain(top 4), he was winner in skills. :)

when you see cold highlights, its not always insane aim like shox, not a bunch of deagle clips or one taps by NiKo. its a mix of catching people out of position with mediocre aim, or normal aim but not insane headshots, more like the other team whiffing or cold having good reactions when under pressure. it's so weird seeing him play. how does it he do it lol? it seems like he only aims to the level that's necessary. if he needs a kill he'll flick like crazy but only when necessary. otherwise his aim looks meh, but still gets the job done. i dont get it xD.
he takes shots with such patience i cant comprehend it lol. the headshots he makes look so casual.. it's not like consistently one taps or robotic aim but it just sort of happens... sort of like ropz.
Cold's strength is his all-round game. You can say "jack of all trades", but that would be underselling his phenomenal skill-set. He's good with almost any weapon, he plays the map to almost always have the upper hand, but most importantly, plays within a great team framework with SK. I would compare him to someone like former NBA player Tim Duncan. Not the flashiest player, but incredibly consistent, a team player and a winner. In my opinion, he's the best in the game right now.
i didnt mean it that way. lol. calm down? im not hating. and if you say cs isnt about "fancy 1 tap" so many people would disagree. the best players in hte world r usually there because they outaim other players, like NiKo, shox, olof,even awpers play in a flashy way, like kennyS, guardian (more passive but insane flicks).
anyway im not hating i love cold. im just pointing out an observation about how he is #1 with such a weird style.
