For those who ask: Medusa tattoos have many meanings but it's more common as the symbol of someone who has been sexually assaulted. The media paints medusa as a bad woman but honestly, read what happens to her. She didn't do anything wrong, she didn't taunt or say something, she was just herself and was raped and abused. So many people, men and women, get it as a symbol to show that they survived, like she did. That they're strong and dangerous. Hope that helps!
I love how most of the tiktok’s about talking to her portray her as kind as in the real myths she was wrongly accused and was cursed to live her life in solidarity and was made the villain all because of athena
I feel like it should just be an unspoken rule that tattoo artists shouldn’t charge people to get a Medusa tattoo as it’s a really traumatic thing to go through all over again while getting the tattoo but after it’s done you feel like you can finally move on
The tattoo artist has to eat too. Why doesn't a kind patron like yourself pay for them so they can be fre????. Stop trying to captilize of the strong survivors.
@@gabriellatillery7355 as a recovering Rape victim living in South Africa where all woman are targets for gender based violence I find your comment quite rude and condescending don’t judge someone by being rude especially when you don’t know my life story sexual abuse and sexual assault affects you for the rest of your life and reliving the same day over and over again due to intense flashbacks doesn’t make the recovery any easier as well.
