The day of the Lord. (Ezekiel 12:23)- “Tell the people, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: The time has come for every prophecy to be fulfilled!’ (Ezekiel 12:25)- “For I am the LORD! If I say it, it will happen. There will be no more delays, O Rebellious House! I will now fulfill My threat of destruction in your own lifetime. I, The sovereign Lord has spoken! (Ezekiel 21:6)- “when it comes true, the boldest heart will melt with fear; all strength will disappear. Every spirit will faint, and Strong knees will become as weak as water.” (Joel 1:15)- “Alas for the day! For the day of the LORD is near, and as destruction from the almighty it shall come.” (1 Thessalonians 5:3)- “While people are saying, “Peace and security,” destruction will come upon them suddenly, like labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. (Note: Now I know how sharp or intimidating the Lord and His prophet’s words can be, But you, My fellow believers, God’s children, do NOT need to be afraid at all! Here’s why!) (1 Thessalonians 5:4)- “But you, brothers, are not in the darkness that this day should overtake you like a thief. (5) >>>you are all sons of the light and sons of the day
Rome and Paris(CNN) Pope Francis on Wednesday called a report detailing decades of abuse in the French Catholic Church "a moment of shame," and called upon leaders of the Church to ensure "similar tragedies" never happen again. Francis was speaking a day after a landmark report found that members of the Catholic clergy in France sexually abused an estimated 216,000 minors over the past seven decades and that the Church prioritized the protection of the institution over survivors who were urged to stay silent.
RC Sproul was a preterist (past). He falsely taught the events in the Book of Revelation took place in the first century. He took away from the last book in the Bible, which is a salvation issue. Revelation 22:19
He was a partial preterist, which means he believed that most but NOT ALL events took place around 70AD. He as not taken anything away from the book, it's a matter of eschatological interpretation.
