3 steps: 1. strategy: do the right thing at the right time; 2. Stories you tell yourself, no matter they are true or not, they have to be effective; 3. States: your energy state makes a huge difference, state is the governing factor.
Other notes: it’s not lack of resources that is on your way, it is lack of resourcefulness, to get what you need to do what you want to do. Determination, courage, and creativity are keys to be more resourceful.
Decisions, not conditions, determine your destiny: 1. Decide what you focus on, and focus on the things that drive you forward; control your focus, focus on what you can control, focus on what you have, focus on your present and future. 2. Decide the meaning of the focus, e.g. is someone challenging you or humiliating you; is it a beginning of an opportunity or an end. 3. Decide what to do.

I was so shocked to hear Oprah’s name after that tragic and painful story, I immediately began to weep in pure awe and inspiration!!! I had no idea!! It just spoke to me so deeply…Your past does not define your future - truly it is only the decisions we make right here, right now, every single day - that matters. We can do ANYTHING we put our minds to, we can overcome ANY obstacle - we just have to commit ourselves to never, ever give up. Always believe in yourself!

When I grew up I was taught what my parents were taught... to be afraid to color outside the lines, to be afraid of being selfish, to be afraid of the law, to be afraid of being different, to be afraid of trying something new....I could go on but whats the point!
I am so frustrated by all these podcasts that are afraid of telling the truth about why society is brainwashed.
Buying a house in 2007 was not the wrong time....it was criminal amnesty for the central banksters. It was the biggest scam in history. The timing was bad because the banksters got away with predatory lending.
How did we get that way? You can't convince me that 200 million people had bad timing...bad government.
Seriously bail out the banks as if they had any skin in the game.
It was all profit, in the beginning during and after the fact.
That many people were supposed to just bounce right back into the game of life.
Kinda hard to pick yourself back up when you just lost everything right down to your family. The banks did not care.

I was a kid when the Atkins diet was all the rage. My mom went on that diet, lost quite a bit of weight and ate low carb for the rest of her life.
Tony Robbins always had very important messages for us all. I am always thrilled to hear his advice.

yes decisions not conditions... however it can and does take a lot of healing at times to really hear that statement and digest it. to really be fully responsible, one needs to first heal and have compassion for oneself and then step into power..yes, but, it is true that decisions and not conditions determine our destiny, in other words we are greater than circumstances.

There's an incredible story a Canadian girl in Japan right after the tsunami. After the destruction she was walking; a Japanese lady pulled over and gave her a ride. She drove her over an hour to the place she needed to go. The catch here is the lady who picked her up had lost everything and her village was in ruins. Perspective.

It’s the cyclical poverty where people don’t even think they are poor until they start to travel. Now here it’s a different life and even $100K/year is not limit....but let you live comfortably
Yea, he doesn’t speak with much nuance. I agree that the vast majority of people in America limit themselves and place blame on others, but there are also instances that are more complex that require more nuance.
I checked out the second he mentioned the Melendez brothers and said that they didn’t have a right to blame their abuse or their parents. Absolutely not. They have EVERY right after being molested and raped BY THEIR OWN PARENTS, to claim self defense. They deserved jail time for murder, but what they NEEDED was therapy and other mental health treatments. The fact that he could reduce that kind of trauma down to just ‘being a victim’ is absurd. You don’t need to be defined by your trauma, but even licensed psychologists will say that it’s healthy to admit when you’ve been wronged, especially if you were wronged in a serious way. Acknowledging that isn’t having a ‘victim mentality’. It’s the first step towards healing.
