Like a lot of people, we have a wall mounted 2kg mini washing machine (daewoo) installed in our caravan bathroom.
In this video we will show you how it works, how much it shakes the van when in use, how many clothes you can fit in a load and just generally if we rate it.
Let us know if you have any questions we didn't answer.
Why do all people, even those in caravans, think, they HAVE to mount the machine high on the wall? The lower you mount it, the less vibrations you´ll get, and the longer is your wall gonna stay sound. Let it touch the floor, with some buffer unterneath it, while mounted on the wall, and all problems are solved.
We 100% agree. That wasn't our van and we would never mount one on the wall after experiencing this. It's mounted to the floor in our new van and is sooo much better!
@@trippinaroundoz Happy to hear that !!!
I always wondered how good those wall mounted machines go. Amazing how something so small can fit a good amount of things in it
Don't buy one vibrates the van to pieces
The sad thing here in North America is it is next to impossible to buy one. Even if I could the cost is outrageous. Also these are only built for 240Vac countries. But with will I can make one work by devoting a DC/AC inverter that is 240Vac.
Aliexpress has a lot of cheap Chinese knockoffs.
Oh wow, they are so common here. What is the equivalent over there?
@@trippinaroundozWe can't get these in the UK either, however some Chinese imports for 2-3kg loads are just starting to appear on the market at the £600-£800 price bracket. We're thinking of giving one a go in our motorhome.
I just got a 3kg compact zanussi/Electrolux aquacycle 1300rpm! and was surprised that a whole king size bedding all fits one load 1 sheet, 1 duvet cover, and 4 pillows cases. It might as well be a 4kg drum as it looks exactly the same 🤔🤷🏻♂️ such a good little thing had it for free too and it’s only 2 years old been used on a boat but not much use as it was a holiday canal boat. Still smells new on a 60c wash. It’s brilliantly highly recommended, I live in a small flat/apartment. They last for forever too people say And if it does get a fault small one usually after a few years there is plenty of parts in circulation as they been made the same for the last 20 years lol 😂
Tad expensive but. Much more room and still small and easy to store away.
That sounds awesome. What a find!
hello what brand name of your washing machine
thanks
cool very informative 😇
Glad it was helpful!
How many Lt per wash? & is it plumed in or u hand fill it? Thanks
It's plumbed in. I'm not sure how many litres per wash though
Quick wash uses about 15L
Have one in our van and wouldn't recommend it, vibrates like you would not believe, floor mount top loader much much better
Hey!
In our current van we have a floor mounted one and agree it's so much better!
Ours came with a recommendation to only run the machine on delicate cycle, I do and it hardly vibrates at all.
@@gabihowie2777 did not know that, must try, thanks
The washing machine is definitely stuffed full. Just because you can fit all that in doesn’t mean you should.
Once the water goes in and removes the air, the machine is only half full :)
Its always washed the clothes quite well.
Julieann Hawley you may be right but Tripping around Oz is washing all that just to be clean
Where would i be able to puchase one? Im seeing alot of reviews but no information on where to buy from
Hello
Ours came with the machine but you can buy them from RV accessory stores in Australia.
@@trippinaroundoz sorry i meant online stores 😅 im uk based and struggling to find one
oh sorry, I am not sure where you get them in the UK. Try the NCE site as thats the brand.
Hi guys, did you mount the washing machine yourself or have it installed by someone else.
We are considering the wash/dry option in our Jayco Motorhome.
Hi Mark
This washer was installed in the van by the factory.
I'm waiting to see how it fills up and how it drains...
It is plumbed in
Can you post a link to where you bought this online i cant find these washer dryer combos anywhere!
Hi Tyler
It came with the van but it only washes, doesn't dry.
Hi, what's the brand of this?
Hi it's a daewoo
Hi ! Was installation easy . I want to place mine in the bathroom
Hello Sam
We didn't install it, it was already in the van. They are very handy ti have though
We have the exact machine wall mounted in our motorhome. It is SO loud on spinning the whole caravan park can hear it! Did yours spin louder if you weren't parked on a completely flat surface? Thanks.
Hi Cinder.
We always had the van on level ground or if not had it levelled out. We found it loud all the time, we have one mounted to the floor now and much prefer it 🙂
Have you guys tried a smaller load? Does it still make the loud noise and shake? Just curious before buying for an apt! It’s 4 different units in a house built in like the 1920’s so it’s got thin walls! (You can literally hear the neighbors sneeze sometimes 😅). Looking into small portable washer/dryer for our studio.
🎉does it dry the clothes also? If not is there a wall-mounted mini combo that you would recommend???
I'm not sure you can get dryers for caravans, I've never seen it.
Daewoo makes a mini washer dryer combo
So it's 12volt?
It runs off 240v but you can run it offgrid if you have an inverter
Overloaded
As we said in the video once the water went in the machine was only half full
115v or 240v?
They are 240v but can be run offgrid with an inverter
We wanted the wall mount machine but the van we got came with a floor mounted one so we’ll see how we go!
We have a floor mounted one in the van that's being built. I think it'll be much less shaky 😅 you'll have to let us know how yours goes!
@@trippinaroundoz might do a video too and let you know 😂
Sounds good!
Where is the filter in this machine and how do you clean it
There is a lint filter inside the drum. You just unclipped it to clean, very easy
Not sure where the lint filter is, there are two plastic devices in the machine, are they the lint filters? If so how do you get them out, I’ve tried but can’t move them. Thanks in advance

@@gabihowie2777 you press the little tab. you pull out the filter as your holding the tab down
where I can buy it ?
in Australia you get them from caravan accessory shops
That's awesome
How many Watts is it?
I think it was about 1500w from memory. We don't have it anymore to check sorry
Almost the same size as regular/conventional washer
