Well done YOUNG LADIES. Judy’s stoicism has to be admired. I came across your videos a couple of weeks ago so went back to the start and have been bingeing and finally caught up. Interesting way back up in the Bay of Islands is where I grew up. Where you bought that large corn beef and salad roll Nicky, at the Opua store and then crossed on the Car Ferry is my home town. Call North Queensland these days. Interesting that you are using hiking boots after using lightweight hiking shoes Nicky. Most T A walkers seem to like the ultras. I still use my hiking boots every day for walking after wearing out too many pairs of expensive walking shoes I purchased them to walk the Milford track in 2015. That prickly bushes is gorse. The English introduced it to NZ in the 1800 😮 It is Victoria and Tasmania as well. A bloody pest
Looks like enjoyable scenery, track quality (mostly) and weather. Worth taking your time on anyway. I'd be wishing I could pack raft swim along of those riverside sections!
Wonderful to hear of your silver lining 👏 Damn English gorse!!! Cursed stuff! Noxious weed! Oh for braided rivers. Lots of little tent friends - outside thank goodness. Get some good sleep!
"Goes on forever" was thinking the same like that mountains not any getting closer !
Liking the boots update.

The gorse has grown well since we did the Harper Pass 2 yrs ago. Maybe we followed the cattle trails instead of the track 🤷♀️
Enjoying the vlog, bit surprised you haven’t seen any deer or goats, TBH 😊
