    Temperament: quarter-comma meantone. A=415 Hz.

    Lovely. I wonder how this was received in 1649. Seems a tad dangerous considering it's a month after the execution of Charles I.

      I would need to do some research on this. However, considering it was never published, I imagine it may not have circulated widely -- so that perhaps only "like-minded" people would have known of it.

      Thank you! The only edition I know of (and the one I have) is the fifth volume of Musica Britannica, which is devoted to Tomkins's keyboard music. I got it used many years ago, and unfortunately I am not sure how easy it is to find, which is a pity. It is still available, of course. Are there any university libraries in your area? They would probably have it...
