I've noticed that people who didn't grow up listening to lyrical rap have trouble hearing every word while processing the wordplay and techniques combining to create a whole idea or picture...your on the right track catching some clever bars...following along with the lyrics helps train your mind...it's very rewarding once u get it...Pure Respect💯
It's very much like people who dont listen to metal not being able to decipher the shredding guitar riffs or crazy drum patterns at first.

I'm a full on Stan and rap God isn't one of my favourite tracks. It's fun, and it's fast, technical etc. But there is so much more substance when you start digging into his other tracks. Excited to follow this journey.
If you guys want emotional Tracks I suggest the songs: Mockingbird, Stan, Darkness, Like Toy Soldiers and When I'm Gone.

There's an old interview he did with Anderson Cooper you might enjoy. Em explains his rhyme style using the word Orange, which most people say can't be rhymed with anything. He names the dictionary as his favorite book, and is responsible for adding two words.

The coolest thing with Em besides the ability to rap in any flow on beat is when he's rapping so fast the untrained or casual ear can't keep up he is still very articulate and it still makes sense what he's saying, it's not just random words that sound good in a rhyme unless it on purpose to mock someone or something usually.
He has other albums for emotions. Both these songs were to Show how fast he was. Ems known for emotions

From growing up listening to Eminem one year older. I can say there are songs that are flashes of my history / memories with just a few chords if that makes sense.
"Stan" is a definite song you need to play and " cleaning out my closet". " Stepdad" off music to be murdered by.

Please do one of his emotional songs. When I'm Gone is the one song that always makes me cry. And Stan is one of the best story telling songs ever!

Rhyming halves of words = his internal rhyme schemes... I've heard this like 50+ times and I can pick out the words now - your brain adapts really quickly to rapid-fire spitting. I have the same opinion of metal songs that go too fast without creating the synergy and flow and transitions... I think Rush is to metal as Eminem is to Rap. Both my favourite of those genres...
Eminem is the modern day Shakespeare. He is even changing language based on his work. We don't know the long term implications of some of it, but Stan is now synonymous with overzealous super fan because of one of the most emotionally invested songs he has released.

Headlights is truly emotional. Shows his growth and maturity. And he definitely feels vulnerable and raw. Even though I never went through what he went through, I can feel where he comes from, and makes me tear every goddamn time I hear that song.

I dont know if you'll read this, but i'm gonna write it anyway, because i loved this video.
The best part of this video ( for me, personally ) is when the blonde guy literally stops you from pausing the fast part of the rap, which actually is my reaction everytime i see youtubers trying to react to this song, he literally did what i would try to do if i was him. Also, you guys are both amazing and you should never be afraid of showing your true feelings and opinions about something. And if people don't respect your opinion, just ignore them, cuz you are amazing!

My dad is a retired guitarist. I grew up with Deep Purple, Jimi Hendrix.....all the old rockers :) So my heart is very much grounded in rock/metal. And then there is Eminem. I was 16 when his first album came out, and I freaking LOVED it. My dad was sooooooo anoyed *LOL* I tried listenening to other hiphop artist, but I just can't get into it. Eminem is a storyteller....and a damn good one....Following his career has been very exciting. Every time a new album hits the streets, I'm in love....I'm a teenager again. 🥰🥰

12:50 I totally agree with him there. I love Eminem and I do like Rap God but a lot of people didn’t like it because there wasn’t much to it except showing off, you just have to keep in mind that Rap God was a freestyle while all of his other songs he sat down and wrote.

My husband is a metal head, while I’m into hip hop and R&B. I like some heavy metal and he likes most of Eminem. I want to see you listen to Leaving Heaven from this album. Some brutal realness on that track and since it’s new the beat and style don’t sound out of date for new-to-Em listeners. I love a lot of his music, but I feel like a lot of the tracks die hard Em fans recommend are hard to feel without the context of getting into it when it was happening. He’s grown so much.

Gotta be honest and I might get shit for this lol but I'm a big Eminem fan, this is the first time I've heard this song and I'm definitely not a fan. I love older, angrier Eminem! Granted he's grown as a person and being completely sober changed him a lot. He's fucking brilliant, I'm just not vibing with this one, outside of the technical talent of course.
I can never get through the song Mockingbird without crying, I think you should react to that one. It's a very personal song.

Just subbed a while ago and the only thing I would say is keep it honest man. There are diehard fans that might throw in some hateful words your way. But keep being honest, sucking up to fandoms isn't the way. Keep this reaction channel pure as this one's among the few that I still find enjoyable to watch. I absolutely agree with you. Eminem has a talent in rhyming words that don't rhyme together. Something that he once said that I will always remember is when he said that people always mention that nothing rhymes with orange, but you can put an emphases on certain syllables to make it rhyme. ORange, doOR hinge, pORridge.

I’ve been a fan of Eminem since he came out in 1999. I was 16. I’ve always had a foot in hip-hop, even before Em, thanks to friends of mine and pop culture. But I’m a metal-head at heart, I love the bands you mentioned: Obituary & Suicidal. Also the shirts you’re wearing; Pantera & Static-X; Fuck yeah! Wow I just realized I saw Pantera 20 years ago at Ozzfest 2000. Good fuckin’ times... Anyway, there’s many times I’ve not liked something initially, no matter the genre, then later on it becomes my favorite thing! Sometimes what’s hardest to digest, turns out to be the best art.
Eminem once responded with annoyance in his 60 minutes interview with people who say you can't rhyme orange, he come up with several off the top of his head, including the one that sticks in my head door hinge.

The reason I have such an open mind with this song because I am smart enough to know the Eminem is having fun in this song. This is fun song. Not all of Eminem's songs are like this one. He challenges himself and beats his own records. He's displaying his skills...showing he's still got it.

Honestly, Eminem does say he sits in the studio with a dictionary. He used to actually read the dictionary he said on an interview, so he'd always know what sounds right
