- Today I’m sharing what our plans are for this homeschool year in our Christian, Charlotte Mason style homeschool with some Classical elements thrown in. I’m going over all of the curricula we are using for our 3rd grader, 2nd grader, and Kindergartener. Along for the ride are our littlest ones who are 3, 2, 1, and 3 months. So fun. Great video. I met Sonya from Simply Charlotte Mason two weeks ago at a homeschool conference. She was so lovely and took the time to explain Laying The Rails to me and I am excited to start it next school year. Loved hearing your take on history and geography. ❤❤

We switched back to SCM and are going through the middle ages. Brambley hedge is adorable! We're going to read back through it after we finish Charlotte's Web. I also found Tales of Oakapple Wood to read as well. It's really short but looked fun and similar to BH so hopefully it's just as good. Have you read Sproul's children's books? They're so good and a fun way to share the gospel as well.
Yes! We have many of his books- for children and for adults. RC Sproul is one of my favorites. I’ll have to check out Tales of Oakapple Wood.

Those are some great plans. I am inspired to look into Charlotte Mason history, as well as the Primary Logic book. You will love Brambly Hedge, it’s my daughter’s favorite. She has it in the individual books in a set, they end up in her bedcovers almost weekly though we’ve owned them for three years. The illustrations are as charming as the stories. Thanks for sharing your curriculum picks. Awesome choices! I am doing the peaceful press nurturing kindergarten with my 5-year-old this year and delightful reading by Simply Charlotte Mason. I am adding in Math with Confidence Kindergarten as well. I am trying to figure out a good flow though, as was our first week and it went rough. I have older kids too I am homeschooling so trying to figure out how to balance everyone is difficult.
It’s definitely not easy to balance everyone! I agree. Educating my older 3 while also changing diapers, potty training, and keeping a good play and nap schedule has been difficult. We can always adjust and try out a new plan! I hope your homeschool year is a great one. ❤️
I enjoy seeing what you are doing. We use a lot of the same curriculum (SCM, your science, LLATL) so I enjoy the solidarity but you're oldest is two years older than my oldest so I get inspiration for the future. Thank you!

It's so similar to ours! We are also using The Gospel Made Clear to Children! So good! ❤
We are on the Joshua/Ancient Greece book from SCM. My 4 kiddos are just a little bit younger than yours! 😊
Our LA is just SCM, our Science is from Apologia (which the children absolutely love!) and we use Mind Benders for logic!
Hooray for logic! I don’t hear of many families doing it this early. ❤️ I can’t wait to restart The Gospel Made Clear to Children. It’s so so helpful. I hope you have a blessed year teaching and enjoying your children!
