Lovely control ... I'm a fixed wing man in UK and in 1975 after I'd got my PPL I enquired about rotary wing lessons. The fixed wing lessons were £16 ph back then and the rotary were £50 ph. I was offered a discount of 5 hours from the then 40 required minimum (now 45 I believe) to get the rotary wing licence as I had a fixed wing licence and had I the money I'd have done it ... but alas .. I didn't. Always regretted it. This bloke is an excellent pilot judging from what we see in the video.
Very cool, looks like a skilled pilot, still can't decide if he's a mad man or a genius 😊😊😉😊 Him getting the tail rotor so close to the ground, even with a skid, made me feels a bit anxious!
Nope. ALL can easily or at least with a good teacher learn to fly as he does in 1-2 years. Nothing more, and it look so violent when he stop but it behave that way because it's lightweight, and this is also why you never see bigger Choppers do this, they CAN, but it's harder than this actually. But it take good knowledge about his Chopper. But trust me he had a good teacher. Impossible? NO, Impressive? YES
@@abdacnc3969 I just had a look: US$38,500 It's a kit helicopter, so you'd pay quite a bit more for one that's fully assembled. Also, I'm not at all sure that that includes the engine: gas turbines are fearfully expensive, so it wouldn't surprise me if that were the price a) for the (unassembled) kit and b) without the engine. Then, once you've got the thing up and running and you've paid for your (horrifically expensive) helicopter training, you've got the maintenance to worry about.
Don't know much about Helicopters but I can recognize an expert pilot when I see one. I'm guessing decades of experience. Viet Nam maybe? Eight years later but this was just recommended to me.
The Helicycle was conceived and designed by B.J. Schramm (Buford John Schramm) , the founder of RotorWay International. B.J Schramm was killed in a Helicycle crash on 28.4.2004. His dream in life was that every American home should have a helicopter in their driveway. His first helicopter was the Scorpion.
Still flying this Helicycle and your Review, Plz, on this Helicopter or another Helicopter Recommendation for a New Helio Pilot! Thumbs Up on this 8yr Old, Still Impressive, Video!
Great copter just looks like everything is in it's place and balanced I'd been in small fixed wings many times but never a helicopter my first time in a helicopter the instructor said this is just like a fixed wing and as soon as we leave the ground we're flying and he went straight up to about 40 ft and hoovered I said now this is flying had a great time
Stan's machine is exceptional and his flying skills are solid, especially considering that he is a fairly new heli pilot. If you want to see a real life emergency auto he did simply go to his channel and watch a 40 MPH run-on landing he did when the flame went out at 150 ft and 40 MPH forward speed. It was interesting to say the least.
That guy flys like he's a veteran Cobra pilot. People don't realize that flying in low tight spots is more dangerous and requires more skill and control than flying high does. Flying low DOES make it easier to film and see the heli in flight.
Do you really think that people would not realize that flying in tight spots low to the ground requires more skill? I understand that many people aren't very smart..however, that's pretty obvious.
They are almost 40 grand. This is a Eagle Helicycle. Has a Turboshaft Solar T62 engine on it. Top speed is around 110mph. Same turboshaft they put on the Mosquito Aviation XE.
OK, I'm WAY Jealous!! Super nice Helicycle! I'd fly it in a sec! Love the sound of the turbine lighting off!. Nice piloting skills too! Hope you're having as much fun as it looks like it is!
The guy flies that thing like I fly my drone! Good piloting. . would have liked to see him go above the trees once - also if possible in future can you leave it go the extra seconds until the engines completely stopped? Love the sounds. thanks for a good video.
You should tell him the FAA lets helicopters fly higher than 6 feet if they want too.. lol What's the useful load? I'm a big guy, so I sort of blew these things off, but Stan looks pretty heavy himself, so maybe it's worth a second look!
the whole point of flying a helicopter is to have a magic carpet ride. Low n' dirty is the name of the game, if you want to see the world from up high where it's flat and boring go fly fixed wing.

By far the best minicopter i have ever seen.
I love the turbine sound! Beautiful helicopter, yeah I’m jealous
Yup The shame i like it 🙄😊👍
U
He doesnt want to fly the helicicle vertical and high
I was expecting him to start doing "tic-tocs" lol. Nice bird! I'm jealous
My favorite tiny single place helo. I wished i owned & flew a jet turbine powered Helicycle!!! Fly safe dude!
Awesome helicopter, I want one! Superb flying also, so smooth. Now I want to fly like that!
Love the sounds of a Turbine
exceptional machine control, Awesome pilot!

Wow that 5 min shot of the control panel was interesting while everything to watch was going on at the turbine engine.
Wow !! Very nice chopper and flying skills.
Beautiful helicopter. The Joy of flying your own helicopter, is great
Man, I wish I had one. Looks VERY fun.
I'll buy one now! What a supurb machine!
The turbine looks like the APU on the
Blackhawk. I want one of these. No SAS or pedal hold computers, but that’s what makes it fun!
Excellent film footage and sound. Great dialogue.
Awesome quick stop at 5:38. I don't think I've ever seen one quite like that!
Almost a tail strike
Stan Foster must be an ex-combat pilot with those maneuvering skills? Awesome pilot and bird!
NORMAN WELCH I’m thinking Mother Rucker...

That's a very nice example. Thanks for posting 👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
In-freaking-credible! It's worth buying just for that gorgeous turbine sound!
How much would it cost ?

You're easily pleased! Although, for a kit built helo, it is good looking.
No, it’s really a good looking unit.

I’d watch it with those quick stops man, wouldn’t want to crash that beauty.
Cool machine and good pilot!

Single seater aircraft is cool but i always find flying enjoyable with company...
Looks Really fun and awesome though.
A beautiful piece of engineering
Cool! Like that thing a bunch.
I want one! Great piloting.
My dear you have done an incredible job. So keep sharing
So intensly 😎 cool! The pilot is a pro!! Gr8 video

IMHO, A single-seat heli- is a complete waste except as a very expensive toy.
Terry Isaac and what’s wrong with having an expensive toy?

My anxiety is spiking watching the tail rotor getting close to the ground on those short stops....... 😳😳😳😳😳😳
We all probably ancient just seeing that! I was actually looking for some altitude & landing coming in from above🤔...

Great job

Shouldn't the engine exhaust point to the other side to be able to support tail rotor moment vs. working against it?
Say what you say, no one can't say that he has the heli on the tips of his fingers! This guy us awesome!!!
What make and model Turbine is that? Man, what an incredible job you've done, thanks for sharing
Solar T62-32
Kinda tough parking that thing at the grocery store.can u fit golf clubs in it?where do the wife and kids sit?
The wife and kids don't fit. That's why its enjoyable.
When we have drones which work with such a precision, why helicopter can't be so easy to use and affordable.
"he's flying low we're going to have rain." Just kidding, great video, nice helicopter. Cool

Totally agree! Have had far more fun at low level in an R22 than at altitude in an EC120 Colibri!
Cod Mott Read about that Gibriski dude in ww2 bringing his fighter back and the ground crew had to clean mud and dirt off the bottom of it
This is my neighbor. Trust me. He used to fly that machine plenty high. I believe the low flight was just to give an idea of how the machine handled.
Is there a cluth that makes the rotor not spin wen the engine is on?
