I think I've watched a billion edits ever over the last few weeks but yours man....incredible. I keep coming back to it. you just really understand editing. it's not about overdoing all the fanciest effects of whatever software you're using, it's about timing and emotional coherence and you fcking nailed it. the song choice is perfect, the scene choices are perfect, it's just perfect.

Oh, bravo! Well done! This must be one of the best GO fanvids I've seen since season 2 released. It's wonderful to see such vidding talent that knows how to work with the music and not just drown it out with continuous lines of dialogue. It's one of my favourite ABBA songs too. I couldn’t agree more! I thought it was just me getting old and crotchety - I was wondering what happened to fanvids. They always used to be like this - sparing with the dialogue and using music and visuals to tell the story. Now so many are just clips with all the dialogue and the music alongside. Love this style, and in awe of the talent!
@jimi2512 Ha, me too! It could just be changing trends, but it seems way too sudden after the decades of evolution in the vidding community. I wonder if it's just that many people only became aware of 'edits', as they like to call them, through TH-cam in recent years, so don't have the knowledge or understanding of the craft from the vidding community. It's like it's own little subculture that sprouted here, largely independent of everything that came before it, which is why those types of videos feel so very different. Some of them have still been good, but so often they lack in cohesion and fall short of creating real impact.
The whole video is so beautiful, the images align perfectly with the song, and oh my, the part starting at 3:20 to the end, the kiss with the flashbacks and all, that was powerful and so moving I want to cry. 💖

OMG, I don't usually comment but I had to here... as a lifelong ABBA fan I love this song choice for them, and you've created a beautiful (and heartbreaking) tribute. Aligning "no more ace to play" with Crowley stopping time was brilliant!! Also loved "a big thing or a small" with the big thing as Crowley saving Aziraphale's life and the small thing as saving his coat. 😍 And Crowley restoring the bookshop to normal at "building me a home." 😭 I could write a whole dissertation but I'll stop there, just wanted to say thanks for putting this together so insightfully. My heart is shattered for the millionth time!! 😭💔😎😇❤️

This song is the only song that has lived rent-free in my head for over half my life. Pairing it with these two was the most powerful thing anyone could have done, thank you so very much! I especially loved the sequence at 3:45 with Crowley looking smitten through the ages. Cheers mate, it'll be a while until I see a video that I'll like as much as this one

I can’t add anything that hasn’t already been said here. But this is truly magnificent. I downloaded it quite a while ago so I would always know where it was. It’s so hard to watch again. It’s so utterly painful and beautiful. Your editing is masterful. How you ever managed those images that flash by that shows over and over how much love they have for each other.
