the character designs and personalities are so unique, especially the outfits of the various exes in the fight scenes. but most of all I think I love the bonding moments between jala and her parents, like her cooking with her mom and her nights with her dad, its very sweet and wholesome! i’m kinda sad we didn’t get more time for the side stories outside the chapters, like talking to the characters via text and catching up and doing favors, it would be pretty cool to know more about serigo.
im about half way through this and im really enjoying this so far! it's definitely a game you can tell was really personal to the creators. so sorry to hear you've been sick morph! i hope your cold gets better -- please do consider taking time fully off to heal, my family has gotten pneumonia from colds they ignored for too long, being sick is serious!

As someone who has an older sister, the meeting with Aruni reminded me of me and my sister. Like no matter what dumb shit i did or how mad she was we always kinda got it fixed because that's what a relationship with a sibling is about, doing dumb shit is being human. You can't be perfect. And i know that no matter how angry my sister is at me, she'll always have my back because that's how an older sister works.
This was a very unique experience. Thank you for sharing this game with us. I found it particularly funny whenever you blasted into people on the street while you were skateboarding. Paati was a nightmare, and very triggering. My grandmothers were all lovely, however Paati reminds me very much of my mother. The emotional, verbal, and mental abuse is horrifying. It's infuriating to know that people like that actually exist.

In this game we as the MC seem to get always the blame, like for everything even tho that the MC not always has the fault or whole fault, besides them having been young teens back then. But damn, some of the things Jala did were very messed up, exspacialy towards Tyler.

I saw the trailer for this game and was so curious about it, I’m glad I got to watch you play it Morph! 🧡 it was way more reflective and entertaining than I ever could’ve expected. The bonus caveats of family dynamics and expectations were fun to see visualized in this game (it reminds me of Sayonara Wild Hearts too lol) Thanks for sharing and hope you’re feeling better! And I have a chatty kitty too haha I loved the cat meows during the gameplay 🧡 And in the US, school is K-12! Elementary school is kindergarten through 5th grade (ages 5-10), middle school is grades 6-8 (ages 11-13), and high school is grades 9-12 (ages 14-18).
Morph I love your playthroughs and have been watching you for years and even am subscribed to your twitch! So i say this with kindness but please don't skip over the dialogue when playing these kinds of games in the future. It takes away from characters I'd like to get to know when their dialogue gets cut. Other than that I'm loving this playthrough ❤
As much as I'm enjoying this game, as someone who usually just keeps videos playing in the BG while I work, I do wish morph didn't just skip through so much of the dialogue or cut it abruptly, especially since this game is mostly carried by said dialogue 😷 I find I'll need to rewind incredibly often to just pause the video and read what was skipped, and its just unfortunate since everything is beautifully voiced and the dialogue itself is very interesting. Rewinding and pausing so much just breaks the immersion. And I get that it's probably to save time since the full game is already going to be a very long video, but if that's the case I would have preferred just cutting it up into parts. But as someone who consumes this content for free, who am I to complain I suppose lol. Still find it a very good game.
If you had a father who carried you to bed like that, and was determined to understand you the best they could regardless of their culture/upbringing, cherish them. Some of us had didn't have good father/parental figures. But here's me hoping we could break that chain and not pass that trauma on to the future generations.

I'm from a Southeast Asian family. My grandmother is just like Paati. All the expectations have fallen onto me because women in the family have always been accomplished and highly educated, while my brother wasn't expected to do the same (men in the family were expected to be served and revered just coz they were born with a dingdong....ugh). I've dealt with a lot of similar things Jala went through, but I'm happy to be thriving in my own lane and living my own life at my own pace now that I've set my boundaries and distanced myself from family. My partner and I are at equal footing--a relationship where we don't need to conform to traditional gender roles, and we have the choice if we bring children into the world or not.
Kinda feels like the protagonist is overpowered compared to the exes. Honestly the only people who aren't shitty in this game is Jala's dad, Ifran, Chandra, and Sergio.
I really enjoy this video and this game, it's so creative and fun.
