@@foethefox793 not really as avatar Korra was able to learn a sub element of Metal, so it is possible for an avatar to learn any and all elements it just was never really touched on by avatars of the past, that and they really only focused on the main 4 as seriously it takes years to master even one element try the main 4, plus the multitude of other subelements Ice, Lightning, Sand, Lava, Metal, Blood, combustion those are all the subtypes and like I mentioned takes years for someone to master an single element, and an avatar mastering what is essentially 11 bending typs/subtypes even if mastering bending is easier to said avatar still take a few decades to be a true master
