The soundtrack was heavily influenced by Tony MacAlpine's early albums "Edge of Insanity" and "Maximum Security". It's a shame Neoclassical Metal isn't as popular sub genre. Castlevania (not the new ones) is another example of Neoclassic Metal with a twist.
@Alan Peralta Whoever composed this album took influence from the best out there. Moore, MacAlpine, Sattriani, Malmsteen and many more. If you haven't checked ginga fukei densetsu sapphire soundtrack yet, it's very similar to LoT soundtrack.
I know this comment is fairly old but wanted to thank you for bringing up Tony's work. Never heard of em till this and looked em up and WOW this shit rules. Been listening to daily for a week or so now since discovering em. Awesome stuff man, and thanks for letting us know.
I 100% Agree, going back to the good ol', nothing like they used to make, Apple ][e. Another excellent one, probably top 20 ost remixes of all time, look up TG-16 CD game's, YS Book I & II and YSIII, Holy Sweet Jesus!
For years now, I thought only the Sega CD version of this track existed. this is so awesome! Sounds like 80s cheese metal, straight out of the bill and Ted's movies!
This track needs to be extended about another ten seconds and it's too bad they cut it off when they did. That grand pause at 4:26 followed by that massive crunchy grind is pure eargasm.
2:52 BASS SOLO!!
2022 checking in. Still best game soundtrack ever 💯
HELL FRIGGIN YEAH

Sir, you know your metal, kudos!
Thank you, I'm extremely new to metal but I LOVE the older Castlevania soundtrack and never knew what that genre of music was called

This was one of the BEST soundtracks for games out there. As someone said, it does sound like Yngwie Malmsteen!
This music kicks ass!!
Getting some strong Yngwie Malmsteen vibes from this track
This couldn’t sound more 1989 if it tried.
I've got to get a Turbo CD for my TG16 just to play this to this awesome music.
This game is true system seller

Sounds like a cross between the Faxandu soundtrack and Black Star by Yngwie Malmsteen!
This wasn't accued very well when they recorded it, and it sounds a touch shrill, but it's still amazing music.
HOT FIRRRREEE!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
An Yngwie Malmsteen track with TAIJI at the bass🤘🤘🤘
