So classic. It’s a true shame that more people don’t know and love this great music and the brilliant people like the Scientist and Professor who’ve made it.
I have this on vinyl. I heard it in the 80's and still today I think the Proffessor just edges it by microns. Great tracks. King Tubby legend. Robbie Shakespeare on bass. Sly Dunbar on drums dream team .
Yeah people often forget while Tubby's, Scientist's etc. contribution to music is obviously crucial, and established a style and approach everyone still uses to mixing and producing today, they had some of the best musicians of that generation available, and some of the greatest singers to work with.
Always brings a year to my eye now hearing Lee Scratch Perry, he's skankin it up with the big man upstairs dropping mad bangers we haven't heard till our times come. Much love to all, stay safe and blessed during these holidays
The Royals (Roy Cousins) - Make Believe, and also: Knowledge & Prince Far I - Janoi (on Tamoki Wambesi Dove Records (which has other releases with different songs over the same tune by different people).
i see on most albums that they were recorded at channel one and mixed at tubby's.. some even include Harry J Studios But if they called this "Dub Duel at King Tubby's" then it must be mixed at tubby's
@@jhonywalker002 I agree that many of the tracks were recorded at Channel One or Harry J studios, but mixed at King Tubbys by Scientist and Professor? One or two of thees dubs but no more than that. If you listen to Scientist albums on Greensleeves label for example you will hear the real mix from King Tubby's studio. The problem is there are too many dub albums out there that claim to be mixed at King Tubbys when they were not. I think a lot of people have shown total respect for King Tubby.

I’m so absolutely content and want for nothing when I listen 🎧 to dub ❤❤❤❤❤❤ great head to head from 2 masters - thank you and blessings to all ❤

Most of these dubs sound like they were mixed at Channel One rather than at King Tubby's. Also, I wonder if Professor mixed any of these dubs?

Is this Mad Professor vs Scientist?
No , this one is a early assistant of King Tubby's , before Philip Smart and Prince Jammy and the Scientist '
P.s. the other early assistant was called "Pat Kelly" he also made dub plates for Studio One and was a vocal recording Aritst
